Great TV Except For Wireless

The set up was very easy using an Ethernet cord BUT I can’t say the same for wireless, which to this day I haven’t been able to use. I’ll add the fact that I have a strong WIFI signal.

Best LED gaming TV on the market

Had to manually do software update but really wasn’t a big deal. Game mode is dark but I notice noticeable delay using my own settings without game mode. Would recommend.

Legs for the tv stand are very wide, so I'm using an aftermarket stand that is better suited to the surface that the tv is on. I have seen occasional banding, but not sure if the issue was the tv or source of the signal.

It's good, but interesting.

I came from a plasma tv that I held onto until it died and you really cannot compare anything to how well a plasma does dark colors, especially deep black. I have a sound bar for the TV as well but the TV seems to forget about it from time to time and will randomly disconnect it and then reconnect it while blanking out the screen. It normally does this when in the middle of a gaming session and I normally then die because I cannot see for about 5 to 10 seconds. It will then keep doing this every 10 minutes or so until I get up and pull the HDMI cable out of the back of the TV to stop it. Sony is horrible at smart TV updates, and software updates in general, so keep this in mind as they made promises for this TV that have yet to come into fruition.

Make sure that the HDMI cable is connected properly on both devices. Try another HDMI cable. We recommend using a Premium High Speed HDMI cable for optimum performance. Performing a power reset may also help resolve the issue:

I was hesitant to do so after reading reviews pinpointing problems occurring after the update. However my 7 year old Sony Xbr was beginning to develop problems with the hdmi connectors and powering on. So I bit the bullet and have been pleasantly surprised with the picture clarity and brightness. With the picture setting on standard I've found myself having to decrease the brightness at times. It's much brighter than the older model and very responsive. I think it would have been better to provide optional stand positions. Overall I have been enjoying this product and have experienced no problems.
