Way past warranty, a personal problem

However, it took until recently (its been almost 2 years since my purchase) that 1 problem occurred. The signal to view as a display for my computer is broken. I dont know why or how to fix it, but for the time being i can use my portable elgato game capture as a pass through. It works but sound wouldnt, thats fine as long as ive solved the issue to an extent...
