Nice tv, but it randomly disconnects from Wifi

Android tv works well; however, the tv randomly disconnects from the Wifi. The only way to gain back connection is to reboot by holding the power button in the remote. That’s the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. Besides all exposed above, it is excellent Tv. It works well with my Sonos system, and it has support for Atmos.

We're glad that you like the picture quality of the TV. It's unfortunate that you are having Wi-Fi issues. There is an issue in the XBR X900H / X90CH TV software which may cause the built-in Wi-Fi connection to turn off. This issue will be addressed in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, restart the TV each time the Wi-Fi connection turns off. Thanks for sharing your review and for choosing Sony!

Sound is poor from built-in speakers, with buzzing and noticeable IM distortion with many voices. If the headphone jack is utilized as a line feed to an external amp and speakers, the sound is dramatically improved. This also allows the TV Remote to cotrol the volume level of the system. Unfortunately, the built-in equalization circuitry is bypassed, being reserved exclusively for the TV amp/speaker stages.

Disappointed and frustrated

As of 11/30/2020 this TV has major issues and I wouldn’t recommend it until Sony gets their act together. A firmware was released by Sony but all it did was add some new features. Here are some of the issues I’m having with this TV: * I’m seeing a lot of ghosting during viewing on all my devices. * I’m seeing a black vertical line running down the right side of screen ( I contacted Sony Customer support but I never heard back). * White flickering while watching streaming content * TV will reboot itself when you turn it on If I could I would returned it and spent the extra money and gone with an OLED TV from either Vizio or LG.
