I just returned my TV yesterday because of the lack of ability to display a lower resolution picture provided from my cable service. The picture was always washed out and did not have the brightness and quality of our 2012 Sony TV. At the HDR and 4K level it performs well but since I do not do any gaming or subscribe to any HDR or 4K programming, it was no good for me. One other item is that you truly have to watch this TV looking straight at it. Even if you are just 10% to the side trying to watch is not enjoyable. Again the TV works fine but I just think that all the 5 star reviews must be from folks who do gaming or subscribe to the high resolution streaming services.

When a video in SD quality is being scaled up and played back, the quality will look poor, even on an HDTV. A video must have HD quality to be played back at high quality on an HDTV. A video with SD quality cannot be converted to HD quality or displayed in SD resolution without stretching. However, by adjusting the Sharpness and Picture Mode of the TV, the quality can be improved. The X900H has picture settings where you can adjust the picture quality to your needs. This might have changed your experience with the TV.

Wonderful TV

The 4K is amazing and the last of us 2 looks great as well. I use it for gaming and streaming mainly. The sound is a little low, but still good. I would recommend this for gamers.

I originally bought this being highly recommended for 4K console gaming and it defiantly was the right choice. Plus I’ve always used Roku/Roku TV as a streaming device or OS. This TV uses Android and it is an incredible change I didn’t know I wanted. Great TV worth the money.

An Excellent Gift for an Ailing Son

We gave a 55" model to our son who is recovering from cancer. He loves it! He's a very tech-oriented person and said this is exactly what he would have bought for himself. So it was a big win in every way.

Pros- picture quality is good HDR is decent Great color accuracy out of the box. Cons- Still waiting for promised features. Blurry screen when using 4k/120 from a PC or an Xbox series x Every update seems to cause more problems while others are not being fixed. Overall I regret buying this tv. The latest update caused my tv to have local dimming issues and I gave up contacting Sony for these issues. I am very unhappy with my purchase

We regret to hear that you're having an issue with the features of this TV. This TV supports features specified in HDMI 2.1 such as 4K 120Hz, eARC/ARC, ALLM, and VRR. Features will be available via a software update. We recommend updating the software of the TV into v6.1020. This update added the support for NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0), Apple TV app and support for the 4K 120Hz signal format to allow for PlayStation®5 compatibility. To set the TV HDMI® signal format to Enhanced format for your source device to recognize the 4K 120Hz capability of the TV. Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable.
Select Settings → Watching TV → External inputs → HDMI signal format.
Select the input the device is connected to (either HDMI 3 or HDMI 4), and then change the setting to Enhanced format.

All i do is stream content or use my PC on it. I am very happy with this 4K and dolby atmos look and sound with a sony soundbar to give an immersive effect.

They delivery men were courteous and gave me tips to make sure I didn't have problems with set up. TV works amazing, got this with the Soundbar deal for my PS5 as a birthday gift to myself and was definitely money well spent.

Just make sure you're direct streaming instead of trying to use a firestick for 4k, since the firestick seems to bottleneck 4k streaming quality.

Deliverers called, did not reach us, came an hour and a half earlier than the given delivery time. Did not knock on our door and left a note saying, “sorry we missed you...”

He was able tp clear the problem and explained that at this point we do not need a sound bar and was able to clear the problem.

If you are looking for a tv with VRR I’d recommend LG NanoCell 85, 90, or 99
