Sound issues

This requires a system restart through the settings every time. Hopefully a patch is provided soon as this is highly annoying. I may actually return this product if this is not corrected by Sony

Picture quality is not good even after calibration. Absolutely horrid buggy software and interface. OS on TV constantly crashes during streaming of content. Watching a. Big game? Hope you’d like to relive it on YouTube since you definitely can’t see it live with the amount of times the apps crash. Sony advertised this TV with variable refresh rate...guess what? It doesn’t have it. No anti-screen testing methodology so when you hook up a PC to if, text is blurry, smudged and overall bad. HDMI 2.1 functionality doesn’t even work half the time. Buy a Samsung of LG OLED instead or you’ll be dealing with Geek Squad over the life of this TV.

To make sure your TV runs as smooth as possible, we highly recommend downloading and installing the latest software for the TV. Picture quality depends on the signal and content. A sound bar or component system makes it much better. Scheduling the delivery was a bit of a chore due to availability but overall very pleased.

Overrated! picture and color is bad. Blurry images

My main reason was for gaming, set it up for the 2.1 and all it was bad even without using 2.1. For example playing cod Cold War zombies, the grass and small features like the fire all look blurry, when you aim and shoot you get this bad blurry effect it honestly just throws me off. I tried configuring the settings for the picture,brightness,contrast,color and all that and it was still bad, I tried using Netflix on both my ps5 and then just straight from the app on the tv and it was bad. I pay for 4K Netflix, I played a night on earth animal documentary that’s in 4K and the same the grass,wheat and some parts looks blurry and the picture was off. The white backlight really kills it really noticeable in dark scenes and the darks can be really dark even messing around with the settings. For the past 4 years I’ve been using my lg27ud69p-w 4K 27in monitor and side by side comparison the monitor without a doubt looks better in everything. From gaming to watching 4K content and the monitor doesn’t even have HDR nor HDMI 2.1. I decided to return it and wait till monitors with HDMI 2.1 start coming out which haven’t yet as of March 2021. Honestly if you’re getting this for future proof it’s definitely not worth it, better off waiting till more TVs/monitors start having them. Also for the people giving it 5 stars you guys must have upgraded from a really cheap and old tv to think this tv blows it out the water honestly.
