Don’t buy for gaming! You’ll be disappointed!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV I hope you did not buy for gaming! It says it does 120fps in 4K but it does not- you can do 4K at 60 FPS or you can do HD at 120 FPS and honestly that picture is not very good either. I hope you did not buy this for your new PlayStation 5 because you will hate it compared to what it can do with the LG OLED CRX series of TVs and trust me it is worth paying a bit more to get the good LG verses this one especially if you are a gamer and have a new Xbox series or PlayStation 5 console. And Yes I did download the new firmware update- it doesn’t fix the issue :(

Write a Review After Two Year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After almost two years, the TV randomly restarts and it's no longer under warranty. I've had less popular brands last longer than Sony. The features and picture are great, but the hardware does not last and they have poor customer service.

Thumbs down!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, Great Picture horrible UI. The WiFi keeps turning off on its own, the signal from PS5 keeps switching off without notice. I’ve to reset this TV 3 times in 2 months. I expected a lot better for premium TV and especially one that was advertised for the PS5.

Easily Broken
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is incredibly easy to crack the LCD panel in this TV. I pulled mine out of the box and by lightly griping the top, I made a baseball sized crack on the top left of the panel. Well, that is according to the Best Buy home theater manager at my local store. The packaging on the box did not make this clear. Having the panel repaired will cost close to buying a new TV, and may not solve this problem. FYI, pay for the installation and do not move this TV or you will have just thrown away a thousand dollars.

DO NOT BUY THIS SONY TV
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would never recommend this Sony tv. I have had it for 6 months and it will no longer turn on. I have tried numerous times everything that Sony recommends to reset the tv but nothing has worked. It does have a year warranty from Sony and I am getting ready to contact them now. What an inconvenience and a waste of my time and money! Will never buy another Sony product.

Posted .Hi Sentinel,
We regret to hear that you are having Wi-Fi issues with the TV. A firmware update version 6.0466 is now available to improve the general performance of the TV. Make sure that the TV is updated:
https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/xbr-55x900h/articles/00119543
These steps may also help resolve the issue:
1. The Wi-Fi signal strength is weak
-Place the router close to your TV, then check if the signal strength has improved.
2. Your TV is too close to the router
-It is recommended that the TV and router be at least 1 meter (3 feet) apart.
3. Other devices are connected to the same network
-If other devices are downloading large-sized files, such as videos, the network speed may slow down. Cancel or wait until this activity completes and try again.
4. Restart your TV and reset your router
5. Interference from other wireless devices
-If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use, or keep them away from your TV.
6. Check the frequency band setting of your router (for dual-band routers)
-Some routers support multiple frequencies (ex: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), if your router supports this feature, try a different frequency.

Sony lied to you, they lied to all of us
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BUYER BEWARE! Sony basically implemented the old bait, and switch with this product, promising on HDMI 2.1 features like VRR and ALLM they failed to deliver on, after promising they would be available in a firmware update for MONTHS. If you want an actual tv, that has HDMI 2.1 features look elsewhere.
