2017 Sony TV's are top notch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had been looking at this TV for a while now. This is a big upgrade vs. the 2016 models. I wanted the 900E series but for the price difference, I just could not justify it. The design is beautiful. TV is thin and light and the stand is good. The 65" has a VA panel which lightens out the TV image if viewed from the sides at an angle. But head on and around 45 degrees on either side, the image is perfect. Made sure you place the TV where most of the viewing is straight on. Google TV is good as well with tons of apps. I like it that the remote has a Netflix button for quick access. I have a DirecTV DVR, plugged into an Xbox One, then plugged into the TV. 4K looks amazing but programming is very limited, mostly YouTube and Amazon videos but 1080p upscaling is spot on. I use a Sony soundbar with my setup since the TV speakers are too small. I upgraded from a 2012 LG 55" LCD TV and the difference is significant. I'm very happy with the purchase. Samsung was the king of 4K TV's last year but for 2017, Sony is giving them some serious competition.

Looked a 4K videos on YouTube as sales people suggested still not a good picture .returned to store with no problems . got another brand, Even though everybody at BB said this was one of the best TVs out there we were not happy and were kind of scared to get the same TV again didn't want to return two of the same models
