Quit working after 2 days

Called Sony and after being instructed on how to re-boot the system it was still black. Sony agent said I know what part is bad and we will ship the part to your best buy store in 7 - 10 days. Did some research and found many people who have had the same black screen problem with this model. I took the set back and with few other options had it replaced with the same model. Bestbuy salesman said overall it is a good TV. Now I have no faith in the set so $250.00 more for the 5 year geek squad plan.

SONY TV - good value for the $$

Basically, you can’t go wrong with Sony quality when it comes to their TV’s. They make excellent TV’s and this one was on sale at a great price. One of the few TV’s in this price range that has HDR,which was a feature I wanted. Very happy with is TV and the price I paid for it.

Good TV questionable geek squad service

Tanked in 4 days

Problem was internal computer component that affected screen. Thank God I Purchased warranty. Geek squad came out 6 days after phone call. Replacement ok'd for same tv model because it broke within 30 days. Screen froze on pink/green bars after crazy flickering. Approximately $2000 (tv+warranty) I hope this was a 1 time problem. Get extended warranty!!!

It was very easy to set up, and all the menus are very intuitive. Sound quality is not bad. It cannot match the sound from a dedicated soundbar, but it is fairly respectable, with clear sounding dialogues. Overall, an excellent TV for the price.
