Nice TV but Overpaid in the End.

Although, the only thing I will say is I definitely did not need the more expensive TV. Basically, it was a difference of about $400,00 between the 2 same TV’s except the one my Dad was convinced into getting by the Best Buy Salesperson had a higher “number” for something that we can’t even watch on Cable or movies so basically it was a waste of $400.00 and I tried by best to explain it to my Dad but He just wouldn’t listen. However, after the Geek Squad showed up to set everything up that was when we all found out that we basically were hustled at Best Buy, but I had already paid for everything and it was to late. But as far as the TV, I believe you can definitely get something just as nice without paying nearly $$900.00 or more. You should be able to pay about $500 or around that for a nice TV that does just about anything you need.

Thank you for the 5-star rating! While we are glad you like your X85K TV, we're sorry to hear if the Google TV features did not live up to your expectations. You can choose the set up BASIC TV option at the start of the initial setup if you want to skip the Google TV. However, this setup does remove some functionality like installing apps, services and features that require signing into your Google Account and Google Assistant.
You also don't directly pay for the Google TV features on your Sony TV. Most of the essential functionalities of Google TV, like smart interface, app access, content recommendations, and basic voice controls are included on the TV itself. You can download and use various streaming apps without additional fee. Remember, you can always customize your Google TV experience by choosing which apps and services you use and opting for subscription options that best suits your needs. I have no issue with color , it's actually very good. I have found it to have a very broad set up and adjustment menu so the picture can be very fine tuned to any viewing preference. I only have 1 issue to be honest, it's just not very fast, the processor lags quite a bit moving between apps etc. especially if you have been watching one thing for an extended period of time. But again overall a very solid and enjoyable tv.

When watching movies on PlayStation5® consoles, it switches back to Standard Mode to focus on picture processing for more expressive scenes. We had Geek squad install it on our wall and do the initial hook-up. They did a good job and were in-and-out fairly quickly. My only complaint, and this seems to be generally true, is that the volume has to be set very low (about 10 to 15) in the range to be comfortable listening. I'd like to have a larger useful dynamic range. I'll plan to post an update if we experience any issues.

Excellent Bravia television

Bought the 65” and my living room is a little small so it’s like being at the theater. It is actually giving us eye strain should have bought the 55”. People are life size when you’re sitting 8 feet away. Need to be at least 10-12 feet away to help with eye strain.
