    TV just wont work after 1 year and 1 month.

    Tv worked amazingly up until today. It wont turn on. I have never done anything wrong with the tv. Always plugged into surge protector. It will not even turn on. Just flashes a light 6 times at the bottom. And because im 1 month out of the warranty period, im out of luck. What a waste of 1k.

    TV was defect and so was Best Buy.

    TV got lines in it after 5 days, Sony has a help page on their website on how to attempt to fix but didn't work for me. Attempted to return in store but was denied. I had to call the 1-800 number and was able to return via shipping. Very bad in store experience, was told they did not want to take a profit loss. Needless to say no more shopping at Best Buy for me.

    Youtube app on Google TV does’t work properly

    When we forward a video on Youtube it goes into black screen for a half second and then resumes video, this is not happening on other platforms, interestingly when I connected with Sony support team with their own screen sharing app it works fine when we forward video it plays without black screen, problem persist asa they disconnect. I did went to local bestbuy store to see if this happening on all sony tvs or on which I bought, guess what its on sony all tvs. I explained this to sales agent over there but he rejected my findinngs. Finalky Im very much dissapointed with this tv. The issue has been escalated to Sony engg dept. I would suggest not to buy if you watch youtube .

If a BRAVIA Sync-compatible device (e.g., Blu-ray player, AV receiver) is connected with an HDMI cable, you can operate the device with the TV’s remote control.     The sound keeps going out but comes back sometimes right away. But know it's not coming back on, so we turn our bedroom tv on high and watch our shows. Have a new one coming on January 5th just hoping this one works.

    Good TV at great price, only minor software bug

    We have had this TV for nearly two years and I’ve loved it. The picture quality is great and it’s been used nearly daily since purchase. There is only one little frustration with the interface. We purchased a Sony soundbar with the TV and sometimes when we turn the tv on, it doesn’t remember the setting to use external speakers and switches to the internal speakers. We have to go back and switch it to external speakers again in order to use the Sony soundbar. This seems like it’s something that could be fixed with a software update, however no updates have been released to address this problem. I have searched online for solutions and there are many reports of people experiencing the same problem but no one has found a solution and many of them have reached out to Sony who has also not offered a solution. Not a major issue but quite annoying because the switching process takes 20 seconds or so. Overall, a good TV at a great price and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upper midrange TV.

Aside from checking the firmware updates for your TV, please check and make sure your soundbar is also up-to-date. You can also use a different HDMI cable and make sure it is a premium high-speed HDMI cable. Unplug and plug the cable again and make sure it is connected securely.

    Not a good TV for streaming services like Hulu

    I've had this TV for almost 3 years now and I haven't been completely satisfied with it. It serves its purpose as far as basic TV functionality, but as far as a smart TV it falls short. For some reason, it doesn't reset the specific app when you exit out of it. For instance, when you leave Hulu, and turn off the TV and comeback later that day it is often on the last profile. However, on my other TV's, it allows me to select what profile I would like to use. It also often locks up to where it doesn't pull up a show/event when selected. It either just spins for about a couple of minutes or simply fails and the only way to get back in to watch something is to unplug the TV for a couple of minutes or more literally. At first, I thought it was Hulu, but I haven't experienced this on any of my other TV's and a similar issue has happened on this TV with other streaming apps. While, I still like the Sony brand and will continue to buy Sony, I will Not purchase another Sony Smart TV.
