Great TV, BAD quality control

It's a shame though I had to pick up and return 4 of them because they all had multiple clusters of dead pixels. I never thought I would even have to look for dead pixels on a brand new $1700 TV, but they were so obvious on the first TV I had to start looking on the next 3. I should have given up after the second TV but I thought maybe my luck would change with the 3rd and 4th. Unfortunately that was not the case. The worst one of them had at least 100 dead pixels, the best one only had about 14. Sony really needs to step it up in the quality control department. I really don't understand how they could even leave the factory with that many dead pixels. Either management is unaware of the problem or maybe they just don't care. Either way it is sad that I could get 4 of Sony's flagship model LCD TVs all with the same problem. That is extremely pathetic. I finally gave up and got a Samsung Q80T. It's not as easy to use as the Sony, but it only has one dead pixel and it is right on the edge. One of 8 million I can live with, 14 or more in the middle of the screen is pretty ridiculous. The local dimming on the Sony is also horrible compared to the Samsung. There is way to much blooming. I should be compensated for the 12 hours I had to spend boxing the TVs back up, driving back and forth to the store, waiting in line at customer service, watching them unpack the TV to check if it worked, and then finally getting me a new one, but that will never happen. Most of the customer service reps were very friendly and helpful, there was only one that was very unpleasant and he was the supervisor. Anyway, save yourself the time and hassle and get a Samsung. Sorry Sony, I gave you 4 chances and you wasted my time and you failed horribly.
