We are glad that you are happy with how quick the installation proceeded. We are also sorry to hear your Spectrum does not turn the TV on or Off. You can use the remote control that came with your TV to turn the power on and off. Please note that the X950H is Set-top box control compatible and can control a set-top box.
Steps to setup Set-top box control
1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Watching TV → External inputs → Cable/Satellite box setup → Cable/Satellite box control setup.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
