The Sony has a much more realistic picture in my opinion. Also the remote was able to control our Frontier cable box, the Samsung couldn't. Also the Sony remote is much more functional than Samsung's, with almost everything you need with 1 touch including source selection button, a numeric keypad (nice for Netflix PINs!), and all the playback controls, similar to a cable remote. Just wish it were backlit. Samsung's remote was lovely to behold, but a pain to use, very menu-driven, not very many buttons at all.

The setup was simple and the picture quality is beautiful with accurate, vivid colors. Watching HD shows and football is impressive and streaming 4K content is phenomenal. Most SD channels are not as clear as on the old TV though. The built-in speakers are okay, but not great, with little or no bass. But I’m using a home theatre system, and of course that sounds much better. Also, I feel that the tabletop stand design could be better. The TV feels unstable, and more so if the legs are used in the turned-in position needed for narrow stands. Sony does include instructions and some of the hardware needed for attaching a chain/rope from the back of the TV to a wall, to keep it from toppling over. But I found a better solution; I purchased a universal tabletop stand elsewhere that makes the TV feel rock solid, with no tipping over worries. Plus, it swivels, is height adjustable and looks good. With the nits aside, we really do enjoy this TV. I’d give it a 4.5 if that was possible.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this television for a year now, and it's proven to be extremely high quality, with extremely vibrant colors, and very deep blacks. The voice remote is also seemingly of high quality, and it's nice to be able to turn it on with your voice (although I ended up turning it off because it's creepy that my TV is always listening). I replaced a previous Sony LED television which I'd had for 10 years due to 4k becoming something generally supported by connecting devices and streaming services now.

Once we replaced the router and ethernet cable, the TV and the sound bar are excellent. Really happy now

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased New: 10.21.2020 Died (no power no light): 11.2021 This is the 4th Sony 65" TV I've lost in 3 years. 65X80J (Sunroom - Main Residence) 65X800H (Master Bedroom - Main Residence) 65X800H (Family Room - Lake Cabin) 65X950H This TV (Family Room - Lake Cabin) - Yes the replacement died too. All same issue, one day they no longer power on and no amount of time left unplugged, reset procedures, different outlets, etc... will bring life back into them. All rotting at the bottom of a landfill somewhere. Switched to LG and never looking back. Sony your customers expect better from you, be better.
