This receiver was an upgrade when I recently purchased a new HDTV. Easy hook-up and configuring.

it does everything you could expect. Easy hook up and spectacular sound. Worth the price paid!

this is a good receiver. If you misplace the remote you cannot program the receiver. Other than that it is great.

The pass through HDMI works even when the receiver is turned off. Internet works great once it get connected. Not all cable modem work with Samsung TV's. Had to exchange modems with Comcast, after I had the correct modem, all the internet functions on the TV work great.

Moved into new home and wanted a newer A/V receiver - this SONY seems to do everything I was looking for - like how it can work w/ my iPhone/TiVo/Blu-Ray player. I get great FM reception but not AM so am working on that - maybe just my location. App is good - wish it could turn the receiver On/OFF rather than just change input sources.

The receiver was working well and then after just six months of use, it started to fail, no longer sending a video signal to the TV via the HDMI output. Thankfully, the product had a two year warranty and Sony is working with me to repair or exchange it. That process has not yet fully played out.

Bought this as an upgrade. Love it! Sounds great!!

I have always liked and purchased sony products and this was a great addition to my Sony collection , it fits right in with my Sony Hd TV and my Sony blue ray player, also love the fact it was wi-fi ready which made set up and software updating so easy . Give it a 10 out of 10

After I set this receiver up I played a blu ray through it.....one of the transformer movies, and it sounded amazing, Its a good receiver with plenty of hdmi inputs. I just think that they really skimped on the remote features for the price point of this unit.

This is a really good receiver. However, I think they should have advertised that it was Airplay compatible. I almost looked over it. I have absolutely no complaints. I would definitely recommend this receiver.

This is my second Sony A/V Receiver in a 5 year period. Both receivers HDMI video outputs failed within a 2 year period. No picture on any of the outputs. Cables tested and pass. HDMI inputs pass but outputs fail. I knew I should have bought the extended warranty but thought, "What are the odds?". In addition 2 other Sony Televisions went out way ahead of their time. Sony in the 80's and 90's they are not. RUN from Sony. Take it from someone who has spent well over 5,000.00 in Sony equipment.

my previous amp was not multizone.. In our new home we had pre wired for surround sound so our outdoor speaker did not work. This product allowed us to use the out door speaker

I am a Sony fan from way back and still stick with them today. I wanted HDMI inputs and 7.1, simple. I got those but I lost a basic feature of adjusting frequencies as in an equalizer. BIG Loss. All you are able to adjust is basic Bass and Treble up and down for each speaker.
