It required no code setting for both my TV or the Motorola DVR for Charter Cable. I was highly pleased. In addition, it has a 30 sec jump forward that the Cable Remote lacked.

When I took it home and saw the codes and I see that it had codes for nearly every device besides Vizio soundbar, I wish I had read the reviews I would have gotten the insignia in the first place for extra cash. I'll still recommend it for other devices.

It was not the least expensive but it is not syncing easily to my TV. The only function I can get to work is the power- no volume or channels. I have tried all the codes and followed the instructions without luck. I would take it back if I was able!
