I have it in a dark gameroom/movie room and it has a great picture. The sound is averagely good for a TV, but when your getting a movie sized TV, you gotta get a real sound system. I've got this TV connected to a Yamaha surround sound system and watching movies on this is a real pleasure.

Great tv at a great cost

Seemed like the more I looked the more confused I became. It finally came down to two things: 1) it is a Sony - a name I trust. I have a 55” Sony projection tv that I have had for years and still works great; 2) price - I bought this tv on sale for $998! I couldn’t be happier.
