I bought this tv Thur & anyone purchasing this tv should be aware that there are mixed reviews & I think it's thru poor calibration of pic settings. Upon first view, I wanted to return it due to the pic looking avg & not worth the $. After visiting Rtings.com to get there settings & tweaking those to my liking this tv is jus beautiful no other way to describe it! To unlock full potential u must view 4k Netflix/Amazon prime for accurate judgement. Night & day difference. However if u own firesticks like myself, they will alter this picture as it jus cannot duplicate the clarity & motion of the Sony hardware. The picture still looks good but looks flawless thru the installed apps. A firestick is still a must due to a small selection of downloadable apps. Sound quality is sufficient but no one should be buying a flat screen TV & complaining abt sound. I hate reviews abt sound quality, all they do is compromise the integrity of the review & alter ones perception of the product. If ur going to buy a flat then spend $50 more & get a sound bar!! One small concern: wifi dropped connection & I had to connect all over again. If this persists, I will update review. I read many many reviews on this set & was undecided because of others mediocre experience but my gf convinced me & I'm very satisfied! The clarity is strong, the colors are brilliant & the size is very adequate making this tv(barring any future malfunction)a purchase one i recommend & one u will not regret!

Could never really get the colors/brightness/contrast etc right. The picture looks bad especially when you watch it from an angle. The YouTube app does not really work. Contacted Sony, they gave me a bunch of ways to trouble shoot. One of things they said, the TV has to be contacted directly to the wall (i.e. not through a surge protector). That's bad what if the TV gets damaged during a surge event? Anyways, you can spend 30 min. every so often to reset your TV to factory settings to make YouTube work and then you need to again change a lot of things. So I ended up buying another Roku to make YouTube work. Isn't that stupid? It is relatively inexpensive but I found it's not worth it.

The TV looks good if your directly in front of it in a dark room, unfortunutly it has horrible glaring issues. Also the brightness and color degrade very quickly from any angle. Will be returning.

The television is not as great as advertised. It seems very limited and I need to connect to Internet via a cable to use the smart tv apps

This was an amazing quality picture tv. But about 1 year in the main board blew out in it and left me with no picture.

This is tv has its moments when its good but definitely not an OLED. Its clearity is really low when its dark.

I purchased this TV from my local BestBuy in mid July 2018 and it worked flawlessly until today. The top third of the screen is suddenly dark. Although many people love Sony products, I have had bad luck with that brand over the past few decades. Every Sony TV and stereo component I have purchased since the mid 1990s has failed well before they should have. I see that this model is now discontinued so will attempt to see if I can get it repaired.
