In my opinion there is NO holy grail for any TV. All brands have there pro's and cons but the 940D has more going for than others in the 75 inch size and price range. You can't beat the PQ with the exception of possibly the samsung KS9000 series (IMO on par with each other), but the trade off is less than natural picture and not to mention the higher price tag. If you read in various forums and reviews there are minor flaws but for me none of them were deal breakers. I have zero regrets with this purchase.

Good Tv, nice picture, good android system, but for the money I was expecting something more wow, even it gets issues blocking the system, no recognizing WiFi or network, does not connect with headphones. Good but should be better for the $$

I absolutely love this tv. Great picture and the android OS system is great. Now I have to fight the family to watch my shows, but worth it! I recommend this tv to everyone.

this is the best tv I've ever owned. the clarity is off the charts. hard to imagine what the next generation will look like

Have previously had both Sony and Samsung. Seems the bigger the picture the better Samsung has been. Sony is OK but think I would prefer Samsung. Only downside was for the 75 Samsung - they didn't have what I was looking for in features - for a better price.

Nice size, but a pricy tv. First one cooked on us with in a week. Had issues took sometime getting issue resolved. Anyone buying a high end tv as such should get should also buy a high end surge suppressor. Never recommended a surge suppressor. Disappointing.

This is a gorgeous TV. 3D is cool and fun to watch. Easy to setup but also has many options to customize. Haven't used my 100" HD projector since I got this babe home :)

If you are looking for a home theater (in the literal sense) in your living room then this TV is it. It is big and super clear, just like movie viewing is meant to be. It is also 3D capable which also a plus. This TV has a full array local dimming technology which is closest you get to OLED TVs at this price point. Since this is an android TV, you can stream 4K content from Amazon videos, Netflix and so on. You can also access google play store and download other apps. One of my favorites is KODI. The remote also allows voice search and comes with built in google cast. You can't go wrong with this TV.

This Sony tv has amazing quality. It's my first Sony tv since the old school trinitron box tvs. It was a little pricey but in this case you get what you pay for.

where to start this is a extreamly great tv i went from a sony fifty two inch tv to the sevinty inch huge differance i needed glasses to see my old tv not this one

When it comes to TVs, you get what you pay for. While this TV is not cheap the picture is awesome. I have no complaints and would highly recommend it to others.

So far, the new TV is killer. Glad we got this instead of the curved 78"samsung. Thank you best buy for the recommendation, speedy delivery and quality product

When I first bought this for about $4k, it was great. Four years later, however, it's got some dead pixels in the middle of the screen as well as large wide vertical stripes across the entire screen and more screen issues. I've always loved and trusted sony xbr's, but this one is a dud. At $1k per year, this has not been a good investment, so I'm now looking to move to a different brand for the first time in a long, long time.

This television does not disappoint! It has an excellent picture and is awesome for watching sports. Movies look great too! Very happy with this purchase.

The colors on this TV are amazing. Such a large picture but also crystal clear!

I've had many brands or TV's and by far Sony has the best picture quality.I would buy nothing but a Sony, Extremely satisfied.with both Sony's I have.

This Television is the epitome of home enjoyment. Just watched the Superbowl yesterday and it was stellar!

The picture and features of this TV are the best I've experienced. Although I had concerns given the price, I have no regrets after watching this TV.

Worth every penny, turned my basement into a movie theatre. Great for sports and amazing for any blue ray or 4K streaming services. Highly recommend.

The best sony I ever owned this is the 3rd . Love it when I'm out I can't wait to get home to watch it. It's a little slow switching but I love it. The 3d is immersive , and beautiful . No regrets
