Thank you for your review, and we are really sorry if you are encountering a glare/picture issue with the XR-75X95K. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have with our premium TV. Picture quality usually depends on the on the signal and content. For picture or glare issues, some of these problems can be fixed by adjusting various settings related to the TV display and changing the light sensor settings that optimizes brightness according to ambient light.

This is hands down the best TV I've ever owned. Blows away my 2020 65" Vizio P-series in the bedroom. I was convinced the next TV I would buy was going to be an OLED. This TV comes very close to besting it while being significantly brighter! The brightness is what swayed me to this TV since it's going in the living room with windows and sky lights. The colors and HDR pop on this are phenomenal. I don't know what Sony does with their motion processing, but it's like looking through a window when viewing 4K/60 demo content. The color accuracy out of the box in Cinema and Custom modes are also nearly perfect. The average viewer can just pick these modes and be good to go without calibration. The speakers aren't great as usual for TVs these days, but these are actually passable for casual viewing, much better than anticipated. The only con is blooming, it's definitely visible if you're picky. But Sony chose to trade-off blooming for higher brightness and black/grey color accuracy. The blooming is really only obvious on demo content which torture tests it and when they're subtitles on dark backgrounds. Otherwise in normal TV and movie viewing, the blooming is barely noticeable and substantially less than my P-series Vizio which is a standard FALD.

There are some drawbacks though. First there is a noticeable glare from a ceiling fan light and the problem is that it is not just a spot on the tv is stretches across the entire screen. Nest issue I have is that I would expect this set to upscale non 4k video to look just as good as other video… still not the same. And for now my only other issue is that my service provider which is spectrum can’t run their app on this tv. I can get just about any other app but not my spectrum. So in order to use that app I need to get a fire stick which then makes me feel like I should use the fire stick for everything thus taking away from the beautiful picture. I by would I spend this much on a tv to have to use the fire stick. Now all the positives… beautiful picture, very easy to set up, great quality feel, easy to use, and is truly a centerpiece in the home. Great wide viewing angle. Love my tv.

While we're glad that you are impressed with the amazing picture quality and user-friendliness of the TV, we're sad to hear you have a few concerns with it. As it turns out, the Spectrum app isn't available yet for download on the TV and the only work around for now is with the use of a third party input device that can run the app. For picture or glare issues, some of these problems can be fixed by adjusting various settings related to the TV display and changing the light sensor settings that optimizes brightness according to ambient light.

Best Mini LED TV out there

This is a Mini LED TV and the picture quality is amazing! I love the new Google TV layout it is much cleaner than the WebOS LG has. I could be biased but Sony really does beat out LG and Samsung in picture quality. I don't really care about the sound since I have a Soundbar connected. It is a bit pricier than the LG but worth the upgrade in my opinion. Wait for it to come on sale. They always come on sale.

Excellent TV once video is calibrated

I have not tested all the features but in my experience so far, the picture is clear, the colors are accurate, and sound pass through works via eARC for a great surround experience. The built-in speakers for the Sony tv are better than most tvs. Side by side with the A80J this one was brighter and the difference between the two on blacks was only apparent on some scenes (such as a large rock face where you could see the individually blackened pixels). In several hours of viewing I’ve only noticed an issue with local dimming in one scene where there was black text on a white background, it has been quite good otherwise. With this TV you are likely to notice film grain in some movies which were shot on film rather than digitally, so don’t worry about seeing graininess in movies. You’ll notice that it is a non issue in digitally shot movies and shows. Make sure to look online for guides on how to calibrate the TV as that will make the image that much better.

There is blooming, but I use bias lighting behind the screen which makes the blooming invisible. Really great picture. It is surprisingly heavy. The speaker opening at the bottom is kind of ugly and I wish it weren’t there, I am surprised no reviews seem to mention it.

It is brighter and sharper and the user interface is a HUGE improvement in design and in responsiveness. If I could I would take off a quarter to half a star for the reflections that can be seen when the screen is very dark. I believe they are related to the coating that is used to improve the viewing angle. I never notice it except on certain static images. I would buy another of these without hesitation.

Great TV at a Great Price

This TV was a major upgrade over my 7 year old UHD TV. The built in Android OS with eARC means this SONY Quarterbacks my set up. Great brightness fights off light from my living room windows but in a dark setting some slight blooming can be observed around contrast content (subtitles etc).

It is really close to my 77” LG C1 picture wise. The only difference is, obviously the OLED has better blacks and infinite contrast. On the X95K, HDR content is amazing! This thing has Dolby Vision, HDR, supports DTS and Dolby Atmos. I can’t wait to see what it looks like after I get it calibrated. Overall, this is one of the best LED TV’s you can get. This comes very close to OLED’s with less chance if getting burn in.

Happy at last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an X95j before this and had nothing but problems. I finally got the x95k and it’s worlds better. At least compared to the 3 different x95j I had. I have no visible dirty screen effect. The blacks are excellent. Gaming performance is good with the vrr update. I could not be happier. I may get another for the bedroom. I gave sound quality a 5 but I honestly haven’t even heard the built in speakers because I always use my surround sound set up.

Good TV, just a couple of minor things to note

A couple of minor issues: If you’re looking at something that has a black background, it has very noticeable blooming. This isn’t that big of a deal, but it’s something to be aware of. Also, the RF input is a tiny bit laggy due to some video processing the TV is probably doing on it that can’t be disabled. This isn’t a big deal either, but retro game systems are essentially unusable on this TV.

There is a you tube video out there that walks you through setting it up perfectly. Like the granular settings available. Picture quality was surprisingly good coming from an OLED with burn-in.

It exceeds all expectations and looks phenomenal. The only thing I was disappointed with was Best Buy. I purchased this TV in "Certified Excellent" condition which says it "typically contains original packaging." This TV came lightly bubble wrapped, with the feet, power cord and remote and that's it. I specifically chose a certified excellent because I wanted the original box for future moves. If you want to know more about the TV don't take it from me. I am just a novice but after reading many reviews and watching many reviews and comparisons I am very happy with this choice.
