I had it plugged into a surge protector and did all I can to keep it safe provided I spend almost $2000 on it. Suddenly it went off. I called a technician to come look at it and he said that nothing works!! The circuit board, motherboard and the led screen all are damaged. This is really discouraging. I have been a customer with Sony for a long time and I trusted Sony with that huge purchase but it was a huge mistake.

What a surprise Once I got the tv delivered & took it out of the box to find out that the edge of the tv looks bright & the blacks look gray. It just looks bad once you watch a movie that is wide screen & you have to look at the black lines top & bottom.

The geek squad and Sony support People just said it’s part of the tech and walked me through steps to lower the brightness and that there was nothing else they could do.....

No it wasn't because my surge protectors weren't updated because i exchange them out every 6 months for new ones. Just a terrible tv.

I right then put it back in the box and took it back and got the top of the line Samsung.

We purchsed a new remote which also started to fail prematurely. At the 3 year mark, the TV started to show signs that it was slowing down. At this point it is barely working and we are looking for a new TV.
