Q: So, what's the difference between the 850 series and the 900 series? Is it worth the extra $?
A: The X900F, is a full array monitor with many local dimming zones. The X900F also utilizes a VA panel, vs. IPS panel. The X850F lacks these features, and is not a good option for you if you enjoy watching content with dark scenes, or a night without the lights on. There are better alternatives out there at this price range. This is an Edge lit , IPS panel television, which is what most lower level units use. All higher quality lcd/led television sets, i.e. Samsung Q8,Q9, Sony X900F use VA panels, with back lighting and full array dimming.
