I did a lot of research and this is the one for me
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Between the Vizio Quantum P series and Samsung Q7, I ended up getting this set. Money well spent and even without calibration this tv is amazing out of the box. The FALD feature is worth the extra money since I can tell the difference from my bedroom tv to my family room X900F set up. I installed this in a well lit family room (see pic) and have no problem with glare on a straight viewing angle, side viewing like any non oled set is compromised but not a deal breaker for me. I plan to purchase another one this time a "65 X950 for my masters bedroom soon.

Great value when on sale
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is really good. I watched both Dolby vision and HDR10 content on Netflix and Amazon prime and everything looked much better than on my old TV. Regular 1080p content looks great too. I’m using the recommended settings from rtings.com. The built in apps/interface are laggy. YouTube is the worst. It doesn’t really bother me though, and if it does in the future I can use my fire stick or Roku. One common complaint about this TV is that Dolby vision content from an external device is too dark. I don’t see any difference when watching Daredevil with the built-in app vs. the fire stick 4K app. This could be important, depending on what other devices you have, because the TV only has two HDMI inputs (2 & 3) that can do 4K HDR @ 60Hz. Netflix on my Roku ultra, when it’s plugged into port 4, won’t show 4K content. The Roku says the port is only capable of 4K HDR @ 30hz. The TV gets fairly bright and handles reflections decently, but in my living room with tons of west-facing windows, I still need to draw the shades during the afternoon. The Vizio PX Quantum may be a better choice if you want something brighter. Black levels are pretty good, but in a dark room, there is some bloom from bright movie scenes in the black bars, or around white text on a black background. It’s not enough to bother me and I’m going to add some bias lighting to see if that helps. It’s worse off axis. I didn’t get the X950G because that TV has less contrast for increased viewing angle at 75”, but for off axis viewing maybe it would be a good trade off. No dirty screen effect that I can see from using a test pattern on YouTube. Small parts of the corners are darker than the rest of the screen. You can see it when watching something with a light background like the John Oliver show. Not enough to bother me though. Overall I’m very happy with it for the money!

Excellent service and picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this tv for a couple weeks now. It replaces a 4 year old 65” 850 series Sony that is still working fine in another room. I went to Best Buy and spent some time looking at Sony, Samsung, and LG. LG OLED was slightly better Picture to me, but there was not a 75” version, the LG was more expensive, and I was worried about burn in on the screen on OLED’s I have read about. I couldn’t tell a big difference between the 950 series and this tv in the showroom, so I went with the 900 series. The first one that was delivered worked for about 3 hours then locked up when accessing the apps and wouldn’t restart. I called Best Buy up and another one was delivered. No issues with this one so far. I’ve heard of people getting a lemon sometimes ever since LED’s came out so I wasn’t concerned about getting another tv of the same model. BestBuy came back in a couple days and replaced it. Good customer service! The picture on this tv is fantastic. The picture is better than my 4 year old 850 series Sony. The difference in size from the 65 to 75 is worth it. I haven’t felt the need to dive into the setting and tweek the picture settings unlike my previous tv’s. Blacks are black, and the picture is sharp. When playing 4K Blu-ray’s, it is awesome. I have a sound system hooked up so I can’t comment on the sound. I have the sound system hooked up to the ARC on the HDMI input which allows the control of the Marantz thru the Sony remote. Just remember to go in to the settings and change HDMI 3 signal format to “enhanced” to take advantage of the 4K capabilities of the tv. I have read complaints about the off angle viewing on this TV, but I can’t really see what the complaints are about. Looks good from any seat in the room. I have yet to see any stutter on football or fast movements on the screen in movies. I would recommend the 900 series Sony TV

Great TV for a non-OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV does well even with standard cable signals, after all, with all of its excellent internal technology, the picture can only be as good as the input. That is why, when you play a 4K UHD w/HDR DVD, the presentation is simply stunning! ENJOY! One note - since this is LED and not OLED, that stunning picture must be viewed within about a 30 degree angle (estimate).

Sony 75" Class X900F Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony TV has an amazing picture when the signal is there. Its off axis viewing is not that good and the Brightness could be better at times. Being a 75" TV I will say when sitting in front of it the picture is better than my Samsung although the Samsung is brighter. For the money I wish it would of had an equalizer for sound.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. Bought the 75 inch exactly one month ago and so far the picture is far superior to my 2015 Sony 65x850c. Below is a summary: Pro's -Bright, Impressive Picture -4k Detail/Upscaling looks amazing -TV is viewable even in a bright/sunny room with little reflection -TV Stand is Sturdy -Design of TV overall is very good and minimalist-people watching will focus on the TV screen itself and not on the bezel or surrounding structure of the set. Cons: -Like most LED TV's the Viewing Angle from the side is limited. (Not a problem for me as I sit in front-75 inches creates a lot of real estate in front of the TV) -HDR does look a little washed out. I actually prefer standard HD movies to HDR on this TV. -HDMI ports 2&3 are the only 2 ports that offer enhanced format (for watching 4k HDR or gaming). Slight criticism here as this doesn't affect me, however Samsung appears to offer enhanced format on all 4 HDMI ports for its similarly priced models. I don't use the "smart" features of this TV and prefer my own Roku device, thus I cannot comment on those. Tips: -I started adjusting the TV picture settings at fist but have found the factory settings to be near-perfect. I have now restored most setting to factory-default and just use them as follows: -I recommend using "Standard" picture mode for basic TV watching-this mode shows a brighter, more warm picture-great for daytime viewing. -I recommend either "Cinema Home" or "Cinema Pro" for Movies on this TV- both settings are good with Cinema Home being slightly brighter and Cinema Pro being darker but closer to what the picture appears to look like at the movie theater. -For Football (or sports in general), the "Sports" mode really works well-the display of motion on this TV is pretty good. You can probably go to RTNGS or another website for advice on how to customize the picture settings and make it slightly better, I tried but really found the pre-sets for the various picture modes to be on-point right out of the box, a good job done here by Sony.
