Disappointing picture quality

We now have the Samsung in our bedroom so it’s easy to compare the picture quality with the Sony and clearly see its inferiority. The Sony’s picture doesn’t have the crispness.

Dolby Vision Issues Make This TV a Waste of Money

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot believe I spent so much money on a TV (I got the 75 inch Version of the X900F) that makes a ton of content completely unwatchable (i.e. anything that displays in Dolby vision, which seems to increase by the day). I logged a ticket with Sony about the dim Dolby Vision issues, and was told that it is a known issue that THEY WILL NOT BE FIXING on the X900F models, because apparently it has something to do with the hardware (and thus pushing out a software update won't help). Apparently on later models they have included a Dolby Vision "Bright" mode that fixes the issue, but to think I am out of luck with a new TV I spent nearly 3 grand on is a complete disgrace & Sony should be ashamed of themselves. I can assure you that I will NEVER buy another product from Sony ever again after this debacle. And the fact that they won't even give us an option via software update to simply turn Dolby Vision off on a TV that they KNOW DOESN'T WORK is absurd. So thanks Sony...you lost a customer for life over this. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like to make it right & ever get my business again.

SKIPPED CHANNELS ALL OF THE TIME
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TV had a 46% signal loss compared to the old Sony flat screen TV, which resulted in constant audio/video loss and sound distortion in most of the upper and lower VHF and UHF channels. The TV constantly skipped channels, IE: if channel 3.1 was selected it would jump to channel 61.1 then jump back to channel 5.1. Best Buy graciously sent out the Geek Squad, confirmed the issues, and exchanged the TV and I will continue to be a happy customer of Best Buy. The new TV did not skip channels but it still had the 46% signal loss. I do not recommend this TV to be used with an OTA antenna due to excessive signal loss.

I was very surprised with the picture and motion quality of this tv. Was not very clean and sharp like my older Sony's. Motion flow was not very noticeable either and even seemed a bit smaller once mounted for being a 75". Returned it for an LG Nano 9. Huge difference! Great picture and looks much bigger on the wall. I'm still very happy with my previous Sony purchases but was let down by this tv. Unfortunately can't anything good about it.

Not bad, but worth the money?

All of my sony products I've ever purchased have been great... this one... just good to average.
