The answer is pretty simple. It is an inferior product and they need to unload their inventory. I was one of these suckers. I bought mine one month ago. My TV is a big part of my life. I am disabled and rely upon it for quality entertainment. I am old school and have a DVD library that stretches over thirty years and has over 300 DVD's. I have an OPPO 203 UHD Player paired to this TV so I am not running with an inferior set-up. Here are my observations: 1. When watching standard TV the picture quality can be sketchy. Grainy areas do appear especially in orange to darker colors - not black "Their favorite sales pitch - inky blacks - SO WHAT. The original BRAVIA XBR series had great blacks. 2. The TV is incredibly format sensitive. I have a thirty year old Shrek standard DVD which plays better than some of my newer Blue Rays. 3. Because of this format sensitivity I am continually adjusting the picture between Vivid and Standard. They suggest Standard for most viewing. 4. When you change from Vivid to Standard, Standard takes on a slight greenish tint. It's subtle to the eye. Why does this happen? Because on most DVD's when played on VIVID it is overly bright and hurts the eye and can be grainy. Why is there no mid - ground? Yesterday on the anniversary the sound turned off mid play. First I turned the DVD player off and on - still no sound. Then I turned the TV on and off - still no sound. I went to regular TV and no sound. Finally I turned the TV and DVD off then turned the power strip off, waited ten seconds then back on. I turned the TV and DVD on and had sound. I reported this to Magnolia and was told that if they could not replicate it they could not replace the TV. Finally I would not suggest you buy this TV if you want a quality, reliable, fuss free picture. I really regret buying this TV and wish Sony had not shifted all their efforts into OLED's. I wish I had purchased the Bravia 75 inch 95J XR instead. I used to own a 65 inch Bravia XBR and loved it. It played everything as well as 3D perfectly. I guess those days are gone.

We value your input and appreciate the feedback when watching DVDs. We want to make sure that you’re taken care of and go through some troubleshooting with you to make sure your TV is great. If you're experiencing the issue while using an external device, we recommend verifying the physical cable connection between the TV and the device, as well as the device settings. Disconnect the cable from the DVD player and TV and then reconnect the cable.
Picture quality depends on the signal and content. In addition to adjusting the different picture modes, you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and clarity for picture quality. Select the appropriate picture setting for your Google TV which best suits you.
The picture quality may improve if you change it in [Picture] under [Settings].
Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, and select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Picture] — [Brightness], and adjust [Color] or [Clarity].

YouTube and other apps lag at times with either Wi-Fi or direct ethernet connection. Makes me nauseated with or without motion settings on or off. I didn't get it set up right away then wanted to give it some time to see if I could get used to it, but then missed my 30 day return window. I would've returned it. My son doesn't have a problem with the motion so I guess I'm just hypersensitive.

To make sure your TV runs as smooth as possible, we highly recommend downloading and installing the latest software for the TV. We also appreciate your feedback regarding artifacts with fast-moving objects. The motion interpolation feature refines moving images and optimizes picture quality based on video content. However, you can disable or turn it off on the settings should you wish to. As a suggestion, you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as noise reduction, motionflow, and cinemotion settings to enhance your viewing experience.

I bought this TV less than 2 years ago and did not use it so much but one week ago it started to blink 4 times in red color. After trying to fix it they told its led panel is damaged with no reason and they can not fix it. IT IS JUST WASTE OF MONEY to buy this TV and the Sony company does not accept any responsibility for its recent low quality products.
