    Scratch on screen and froze screen.

    Listed as no damage open box item, upon delivery found large scratch on screen and paperwork showing it was returned due to scratch. TV was returned and upgraded.

    They will not let me review this in the language appropriate to this piece of junk but do not deal with sony. Their manuals are all in spanish as well as their warranty.

    SONY NO LONGER THE QUALITY IT USED TO BE. Purchased Dec 6th. Installed Dec 13th. On April 2nd the monitor went out. Do not recommend.

    Extremely Disappointed in the very expensive TV

    This television has a significant audio glitch when viewing ANY streaming movie service i.e. Netflix, Amazon Prime.

      Thank you for the feedback on using your A80J OLED 4K HDR Google TV. We're sorry to hear about the audio drops out with your unit. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our product. We would like to know more about the situation that you faced with the TV and turn this into a better experience. You can isolate this issue by following the troubleshooting steps below.

      - Verify if the issue happens from an internal app or an external device. If it happens when watching a content from an internal app, please make sure the app is updated. If still unresolved, the app can also be removed and reinstalled as an additional step.
      - Restart the TV using the power button on the remote control or the TV. To do that, simply press and hold the Power button until Restart appears on the screen, and then select it to restart the TV.
      - Unplug the power cord from the wall, press the Power button on the TV and then release it. Wait for two minutes, and then plug in the power cord.

    Night and day difference from the LED model

    This thing is incredible. I've never seen such high fidelity on movies and games. The contrast ratio has the darkest blacks. It's pretty close to perfect.

    Great TV-- Definitely Bright Enough

    After months of research on OLED vs QLED and LG v Sony, I finally decided on the Sony Bravia A90J. I am glad I did. I have had it for a week now, and I must say the picture is fantastic (although the TV I had before was a 5 year old 1080P so it is a big upgrade). Brightness-- I know a lot of people have been bagging on OLEDs because of brightness. I have seen video after video of people saying that OLEDs can't hold up in a bright room. My room is bright. I have windows across 1 wall of my den. I actually had to turn down the brightness a bit. Unless you have a room made out of glass, this TV will be plenty bright. Clarity-- my gosh! The images are so clear. Some of the pictures seem like 3D. And sports are great on this TV. Sound-- I can't talk about the sound as I use my own sound system... but my system sounds fantastic!!! Set up and calibration - I used the advice of a youtuber to set up the picture, and it seems like a good set up. I am a big stickler on WB and skin tones and contrasts, and I like this one (link below). I did turn down the brightness about 4 or 5 points, and that seemed to suit my eyes better, even in daytime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRNll_zcU3A The first 6.5 minutes are him showing his calibration screen and telling you why he did the set up. If you don't care about that you can skip to the steps at 6:30. Like I said, I have only had this TV for a week. I will update this as I watch a variety of programs and movies, but for now I am VERY pleased with my purchase. Was it more than the other TV's? Yeah, but the Sony processor seems to be so much better than LG's or any other OLED.

    This Sony XR A80J 77" TV just a stunning, great picture. I am coming from Panasonic plasma and should say it is better picture in every way, very lifelike. The A80J gets brighter than I was expecting. Actually, I’ve had to turn down the brightness because my eyes got tired. The motion is also much better than I was expecting. The sound is OK, better than the most TVs on market, but it is out of competition with the sound system. Highly recommend this panel.

    Great picture but eARC has issues.

    Great picture quality but the eARC leaves a lot to be desired. When I watch Netflix, Prime, Disney+, and any other app on my Apple TV 4K that passes 5.1 audio to my soundbar which is connected to HDMI 3 set to eARC, it messes up the sound, causes the soundbar to jump to MAX volume with no way to control it. It also causes the soundbar to mistakenly identify the audio as LPCM. I had the same Apple TV 4K connected to a TCL 65" with the same soundbar connected to it using eARC and did not have this problem. I also tried it with a Hisense and it worked fine. This is an issue with Sony's eARC implementation. I can only get it to work by disabling eARC and using plain ARC. I can also use the TV's internal apps which work OK Others have also reported eARC issues. Other than this problem, it's a great TV. Sure, I could just disable eARC and only use ARC but eARC has higher data transfer speed and adds a couple of other features that ARC doesn't have. And if I'm paying $3500 for a TV, I expect things like eARC to work just as well as they do in a $900 TCL and a $600 Hisense. This is a pretty big fail from Sony, imo.

    Geek Squad installed my 77'' super nice guys and did a great job. I'm coming from a 58'' Panasonic Plasma and this TV is Amazing! Sony did a great job with this model this year, picture is plenty bright and vibrant. Thank you Best Buy and Sony for a experience I will hopefully enjoy for many, many years.

    OH YES! The quality of this TV in unmatched. I have owned different brands TV's but this one etches out the rest. Put a Bose 900 sound bar, Bose 700 Base & a Bose 700 surround sound speakers are the best I have found. I would put the exact same thing in my master bed room if my wife would let me.
