Large white spots and sound glitches galore.

I love the girl (always)and the tv (sometimes) . The sound just quits when attached to a high end reciever when streaming using the tv. To get the sound back is an arduous and annoying process when trying to watch a movie. The software is up to date and the cables are high speed high quality cables. We started watching using speakers only to have the same problem. Foe the most part the tv works. If your car worked as well as this did you would get a new one under the lemon laws. I don't know that an exchange would fix this based upon all of the other people with similar problems. I wish sony or best buy could fix this. I have two other Sony TVs that work flawlessly.

Don't buy this TV. You'll hate it.

I now have a massive piece of garbage mounted to my wall. Buy another TV and avoid the frustration. Would probably recommend going with another brand also.

Blooming and eARC issues

On dark scenes and contrast, you can see the dark blooming or bleeding in all parts of the tv. The blooming or bleeding really takes away the enjoyment of watching from this tv. Then, it had plenty of eARC compatibility issues especially with different brand receivers and UHD players. I was not satisfied with this purchase and issues I ran into with this tv.

Connection issues!

I read a handful of reviews that complained about the connection issues this TV has with internet, but bought the TV anyway. I wish I had not. From day one, this TV has frozen, lost connection while playing and lost volume while playing several times while in use, multiple times a week. Sony says to check for updates, wireless connection, etc. to resolve the problem, but the only way to resolve the problem is to unplug the TV from the outlet to restart it. I have the fastest WIFI internet available, but the TV still has issues. For $2500, which was the price I paid in December 2019, I would expect this TV to be capable of keeping an internet connection. As soon as Sony’s customer service department is back in the office after this COVID blows over, I will be returning the TV and purchase a Samsung. Again, many people experience this same issue and it is very frustrating to continually unplug the TV. I would not recommend this TV to anyone.

Disappointed

This one may be my last. The last two Sony's, a 65 inch 1080 that developed bright blue and green lines to this 85 inch that won't keep the sound on. I have to unplug this tv 3-5 times a week to get it allow the sound out the TV speakers instead of "Audio system". I had no problems the first 3 months but the longer I have it the more frequent the sound goes out. I have a Sony A/VR but I don't use it all the time and don't want to.

Solid TV But issues after 10 Months of use
