I bought/returned the Canon RP I thought it'd be a tremendous step up and it was an epic fail. This thing is worth every penny. Got it for $1,799 and I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can actually do. 4k, ibis, slow motion, 10fps, crazy fast focus, dual card slots, custom buttons / menus, crazy low light....highly recommend this camera

I bought this for my sister as a birthday gift and she loves it. She as done several photo shoots for me and the pictures come out great. I would also get the total tech membership because if anything is wrong you send it in and they fix it with no cost!

However, it is still reviewed highly and I decided to buy one. The included 28-70mm lens is quite good in daylight, but I would not recommend it for low-light shots. With a good lens the images are razor sharp and finely detailed. One of the best reasons to buy this camera is the large number of third party lenses that are available for it - often at greatly reduced prices vs name-brand lenses.

So far, I have zero regrets. It works out of the box. Some of the menus and settings are a bit odd to work with - Good luck finding out how to load up a "REC 709" LUT without Googling it... but outside of that, it's really been a solid camera that I've grown to love.

Great All Around Camera For Beginners

It is only the 3rd version of 4 in the series but is capabale and able to keep up with more recent cameras if not better. There is a plethora of support and youtube how-tos that you are left when very little instances of not knowing how to correct/adjust the camera to how you need.
