A7r5 checks all the boxes

Adjustable screen, better menu, better grip for your hand, real touch screen and the ability to go down in mega pixel but not destroy the quality. There are a lot of 3rd party value lenses you can use with this camera and not lose picture quality. Battery life is great. This camera will be relevant for the next 5 years minimum. If you keep using this camera your pictures will get better.

Great mirrorless camera.

The autofocus is fast and precise. I got this as an extra camera body and already have the flagship A1. The video has 8K capability. You can shoot stills at 30 fps. This camera has almost the same specs as the more expensive A1. Sony came to the mirrorless field years before the competition. Unless you have an investment in lenses from another manufacturer, this is the camera to buy.

GREAT with some limitations

Although the video is more of an after thought (by design) as they are less “professional” specs due to the hurdle of such a large megapixel count. You CAN still make great videos with this, it’s just not really the best Sony camera for that endeavor. In general, you have to be more thoughtful in your choices with this camera. A caveat with high megapixels is lower max ISO. However, the rules you’re probably used to with shutter speed in relation to your focal length can be broken when shooting in less ideal light thanks the IBIS which is so remarkably good. If you’re after a more casual camera that even handedly provides decent photo AND video specs, I recommend the a7 IV.

Great camera difficult app to connect to phone.

Focus is great and accurate is full of features plus the video capabilities are awesome. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because Sony should have a better phone application it has been more than 2 weeks and still have not been able to make the application work. So Sony fix your application problems, I have own several Sony mirrorless cameras and did not have a problem connecting them to my phone or computers. Still I would recommend this camera to anyone that is serious about photography.
