    Finest camera that I have ever used. Great and fast auto focusing. Initially I had trouble switching from left to right eye detection but once the custom buttons are set. It was easy. A little learning of things makes this very easy to handle.

    Quick on the draw

    Big improvement over the R4, back to being quick on the draw for fast flying subjects that come out of nowhere when using a big telephoto lens, turns on and focuses almost immediately, not as good as looking directly through the lens all the time but pretty close.

    This is a huge upgrade for me coming from a7iii. I’m loving the high megapixel even though transfer times are longer but I really love being able to crop and still have a good resolution.

    Camera is a beast, return process a nightmare!

    The Sony A7RV is amazing and an absolute beast to work with. Unfortunately Best Buy Customer Service is quite the opposite. Ordered the camera and canceled 2 hours later, the customer representative I called he couldn't stop the order anymore and should simply reject the delivery. After some time checking my refund they kept $500 for "Restocking fee" which is ridiculous. Customer service is simply not responding to my emails anymore where Best Buy initially even mentioned there is no Restocking fee package if package is unopened. My experience is extremely poor with customer service, do not buy from Best Buy. I definitely won't , but the camera is amazing!

    Good camera but overheats

    Overheated fairly often. Also had issues returning it at my local Best Buy because the store supervisor really wanted to charge a restocking fee even though it was defective. They wanted me to come back with my own lens and show the overheat message which is kinda ridiculous.

The camera has a function that allows you to record longer before it shuts down to prevent overheating. To activate this function, go to MENU → (Setup) → (Power Setting Option) → (Auto Power OFF Temp.) then set it to High.
