Good camera but overheats

Also had issues returning it at my local Best Buy because the store supervisor really wanted to charge a restocking fee even though it was defective. They wanted me to come back with my own lens and show the overheat message which is kinda ridiculous.

The camera has a function that allows you to record longer before it shuts down to prevent overheating. To activate this function, go to MENU → (Setup) → (Power Setting Option) → (Auto Power OFF Temp.) then set it to High. If the camera still overheats after setting this function, we suggest you contact our phone support at 239-245-6360 so we can assist you. Thank you for choosing Sony.

Camera is a beast, return process a nightmare!

Unfortunately Best Buy Customer Service is quite the opposite. Ordered the camera and canceled 2 hours later, the customer representative I called he couldn't stop the order anymore and should simply reject the delivery. After some time checking my refund they kept $500 for "Restocking fee" which is ridiculous. Customer service is simply not responding to my emails anymore where Best Buy initially even mentioned there is no Restocking fee package if package is unopened. My experience is extremely poor with customer service, do not buy from Best Buy. I definitely won't , but the camera is amazing!

IN LAST 3 MONTHS THE CAMERA STOPPED WOKRIN THRICE AND THEY REFUSE TO EXCHANGE IT .I HAVE A PROTECTION PLAN BUT ITS NOT FOR ANY NUMBER OF REPAIRS . THE CAMERA STOPS WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SHOOTS. YET NO ONE IS ABLE TO HELP ME WITH THIS . I AM SO SO DISSAPPOINTED WITH BEST BUY . I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH IT UNTIL THEY DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO REPLACE IT OR FIX IT AGAIN AND AGIAN AND AGIAN.

Turned it on and it cycled on and off for 30 seconds. Sometimes it would turn on, sometimes not. I was on the phone with Sony troubleshooting and they told me it was defective. I went back to Best Buy and returned the camera. When the camera did turn on, I was able to obtain several photos. I was in aww with the focusing and quality of the photos. I just hope Sony didn’t rush out the camera without quality control. I did order a new one and waiting for it to ship.
