I love this camera. I have been pleasantly surprised at that quality of the mirrorless sony. This takes just as good, if not better photos that traditional DSLRs.

i absolutely love this camera, i chose this over the a7iii because 4k was not something i required as i only do photo and man does it take good quality ones! definitely recommend to anyone, for the price you can’t compare! don’t worry about camera being out for quite some time it still is an amazing upgrade compared to my Nikon 3400.

The whole Sony a7 line is impressive. I am no professional photographer but this camera took the best quality photos I've ever taken. An the video is incredible as well. Because I am basically a beginner, I had a hard time figuring the camera out and could only use it on the auto setting. I wish it were a little more intuitive so I could use more manual controls. I also got the camera "open-box" and it was a little beat up. I'm just not sure if the price is justifiable, I can get a camera from Canon or Nikon that takes similar quality images for a better price.

Wonderful camera to own. Feels great in the hand and produces great photos. A great but complex menu system. There are more than 100 choices.

I am far from being photographer but this camera quality is stunning. It is a bit of annoying to carry it around, I mean it is heavy. Battery life is not so good and it takes forever to charge. I bought battery charger separate with two extra batteries. I did have some problems with it where it would just freeze.

Fast auto focus with sharp corners. Very light wieght. Now has many excellent lenses to get the most out of the full frame.

What an upgrade from my Canon DSLR. I am an amateur photog at best, and mostly photograph my children. The face detection and focus speed are fantastic. I did return the A7 for the A7ii which is even faster and better designed.

Bought this camera for work based on reviews - love the quality of build, the user interface, the ability to shoot really good video. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the shots; however, when using the video function it drains the battery very quickly. And for some reason you cannot shoot while it's plugged in and recharging - this is a major oversight in my opinion.

This is an excellent full frame camera. It becomes even more powerful with an adapter and some L series Canon glass.

Though I'm not a professional photographer, I have experiences with variety of brands and types (large DSLRs to small P&S). If you need the most reliable and fastest autofocus, then DSLRs are still the way to go (for wedding photographers, etc.) but if you can accept OK autofocus speeds, then A7 offers many benefits such as relatively compact size (for full-frame) and ability to use legacy lenses w/ features such as focus peaking, etc.

I went from an old Canon to using the A6000 and thought I had found a perfect camera but when I got the A7 I was amazed at its capabilities. It's the first full frame I have owned but I am truly happy with my purchase.

Great camera. Amazing picture quality. The only downside is the out of focus that is not very reliable especially in low light conditions.
