Very light and impressive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera for my needs. I shot with Canon before and still enjoy it, but this is my first Sony Mirrorless. Very light and love the quality for pictures and especially videos. The continuous autofocus helps tremendously.

Fantastic camera, good lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first professional camera I have ever owned so I spent weeks researching before finally pulling the trigger. Believe it or not it came down to this or the Canon Eos 5d mark iii. After factoring in price, features, size, and weighing which company would be the best to tie myself to, Sony seemed like the obvious choice....they're pushing the envelope instead of relying on 50+ year old technology. Included 28-70mm f3.5 - 5.6 isn't bad, especially considering I'm a beginner. I'll probably end up picking up the zeiss 35mm f1.8 prime or something similar so I can pursue Astro photography.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera has a lot of great features for the price. My wife has been very happy with the purchase. With four children under 12, we take a lot of fast action shots.

Best investment ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I needed a camera that did great video and really caught the highlights after getting married. Made a great wedding present, but really stole the show on the honeymoon. My advice is don’t cheap out on the memory card, at the least do 90 megs write speed - Not read speed. The lens isn’t the best, but for the price paid, it’s really not bad. I think of it more like I paid for the body and got the lens free. I’m excited to use this camera for many years, and I don’t think anyone should be shy of spending the extra cash in going mirrorless and not stepping up for the newer full frame models.

Great camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an amateur photographer/hobbyist at best, but I wanted a camera that would push me to get serious about taking better pictures. It suits my needs just great. It's been out for awhile, so there are TONS of resources/guides to help with everything. I do wish I would have gone for the a7II for the in body image stabilization, but for the price I'm very happy with this camera. Kit lens isn't the best, but it does ok.

Good full frame option, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In general it is a good camera, with a lot of options. Smaller and lighter than a DSLR but you need to spend another twelve hundred dollars in a good lenses (Zeiss) to get high quality pictures. I did not get used to the EVF. I returned to the store and now I am looking for a Canon 6D.

Best manual focus on the fly ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second mirrorless camera and I am officially done with my days of lugging the 10 lb SLR. The A7 is so easy to use that within my first day of shooting I was flying through all my manual changes by feel. The big surprise was the auto-zoom manual focus feature. Manual focus is made easy with the digital viewfinder's ability to snap zoom when in manual focus mode allowing you to get a sharp focus on your intended object. This feature alone made any remaining concern I may have had about going mirrorless seem silly.

Fantastic camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera as a step up from the NEX-7. It's simply amazing in low light and I'm able to use all my older E-Mount lenses (in APS-C crop mode) as well as all my Nikon glass (using a Novoflex adapter).

My New Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it. I was all about Cannon in the past. As I found out about Sony, I did lots of research on line and comparison of Cannon and Sony cameras. Sony is way ahead of a game. Mush better product for what you pay.

amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Sony NEX-5T before this camera and fell in love with Sony so when it was time to get a more professional camera I choose Sony A7 with the kit lens and the FE 50mm f1.8 Aperture prime lens and was pretty much set for less then $2000 INCLUDING the protection plan even though everyone talks about how great canon and nikon are I've seen what they have to offer and was hardly impressed and could not get a all the stuff I got with that great of a price
