Secondly, no audio outs (red & white) so you can plug in a wireless headset. Third, repeated lockups requiring you to unplug the unit. I've had more locks in two weeks than my last unit had in two years. Cost is higher than it should be for a unit with these features. The picture appears fine.

Great combo player!

I haven't used the upscaling feature yet, but I'm very happy with the image quality of the DVDs and blu-rays that we have played. It has a very compact design, so it should fit in to any entertainment system that you have.

Good Hardware, Terrible UI
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit to replace an early Sony Bluray player that had served us for many years. Our old unit always ran great and never had any issues whatsoever, so we stuck with Sony when we started looking at a 4K replacement. After a couple months, however, I'm afraid I can't say the same for this unit. Right out of the box we struggled to update the device firmware and it froze twice during the process, taking almost an hour to complete even with a cat5 connection! Still to this day it constantly freezes and requires unplugging when trying to switch from watching a dvd/bluray to watch a streaming service. We also have to strategically use the "open" button to power the unit on and force it to boot directly into disc playback because it often takes almost 5 minutes for it to recognize a disc while in the home menu. If it weren't for the software problems it would be a great player. To the good, the picture quality and audio has been great once we actually get to it and the unit itself seems solidly built. Unfortunately after two months, I find myself shopping for a replacement already because we're beyond the return window.
