Just purchased a couple of weeks ago, so no track record yet. My last Sony almost from the start had to occasionally be rebooted due to malfunction, so after a couple of years decided to replace. Hopefully this one will be better

Don’t be fooled like I was this unit doesn’t play 4K Ultra HD disks. It only enhances DVDs and Blu-Ray disks. The description online and on the box is misleading, it uses the word upscaling. It seemed to be a good basic Blu-Ray player.

Would've given 5 stars, but for some reason Sony DVD players won't play my Led Zeppelin Celebration DVD.

It's better than I expected. I don't have any 4K discs but it not only makes the Blu-Ray discs look better, but it gives a visual lift to many of my old DVD's that were printed years ago.

The quality of the Sony equipment has been excellent for a long time, and this honors its brand, it is very fast to connect to the wifi and the applications also work fast, the 3D combined with the blu-ray is excellent, I am very satisfied with this purchase, I recommend it.

Good keyboard and mouse combo for home office use. Being able to have multiple profiles is handy in my WFH setup - can easily switch between work laptop and home pc. Num pad "0" lacks a little sensitivity though.

Feature loaded player. Simple out-of-the-box installation and no hassles Good clarity and complements my 4K TV

The only caveat was the need to use a newer TV or Monitor to change the resolution if this player was going to be used on an earlier generation digital TV if the max resolution is 1080i. Once that was done it was a snap to set up on my home network and get updates. This unit plays Amazon Prime just fine.

This is my first Sony bluray player. I bought it mainly for its 3D capability. Paired it with a Vizio 3D TV. No compatibility issues. I've only had it for a few months now and so far everything looks great, no problems whatsoever. I hope it stays that way for a long while.

Really please with this purchase, easy to set up, does a good job of upscaling Blu rays to give improved quality output. Wi-Fi Connectivity is very useful, well worthwhile doing the firmware updates to keep the player up to date. I also like the ability to use connected services such as Netflix

The form factor makes it easy to fit into tight spots including TV stands and bedroom chests with TV spaces. The human interface is a little too complex, offering more options than most people will need. Overall, this is a serviceable DVD player.

This player provides awesome hi def video when playing a Blu-Ray disc through our Samsung QLED TV. In addition, the player's remote control integrates well with the TV. I'm pleased with theunit and would definitely purchase again,

Got a second one to keep so that I have one since it's a 3D player and it's awesome.

I jut bought a 4K TV but didn't want to pay for a 4K player yet. This has provided good images of the handful of discs I have played. I don't use any of the Wi-FI services because I have all of it on my TV. I've had conflicting info on whether it actually plays 4K discs.

In the market to replace non working player. Good reviews to try this one. Did not know it also had Netflix/Amazon Prime/You Tube etc built in. Great for TV's without ! Plays Blu Rays and non. Works great; no problems. Recommendable.

Purchased this Player to replace and older Sony Player that I had. The Setup was easy and the resolution of the DVDs was great along with the Bluray Movies also played without issue. Great Player for the price.

Smaller footprint than my old Sony bluray player. It had a couple of apps I use so I have a backup in case my Chromecast breaks down. Setup was easy and no complaints so far but I've only used it for a month or so. I recommend this product.

i have had this dvd player for a while now and it works pretty good. the only problem i have had with it is i have to set up the wifi often. dont know if it is a problem with our wifi or on the player. dont seem to have this problem on other devices.
