Although I own consumer electronics from various manufacturers, I have only purchased Sony Blu-Ray players since the inception of the Blu-Ray format. They are reliable and provide consistent video performance.

It works great the movies are clear and It works for blue ray and more the features are good

Wonderful help from the Geek Squad. They were very professional and helpful with our issues. They kept us updated through the whole process.

We've used this to stream and its ok. We're still figuring out how to exit to our TV. Only major shortcoming, it doesn't seem like we can get the new streaming services like Disney and Apple

I wouldnt say I am totally satisfied with this unit but it works fairly well and I had to stay within my budget. That said it does work well with some issues with streaming. Even with 1gig internet

I needed a 3D Blue Ray player since my 7 year old LG died. I was happy to find a 3D player (wish I could find a 3D TV as well). If you have a 3D TV and Player you might want t consider purchasing this player as a back up.

Really nice player and affordable option for 4k hd

I bought the player for 3d movie playback on a Sony hdtv. The 3d works fine. There is a brightness setting that I use for some dark movies. The 2d to 3d conversion is surprisingly good on the Dark Knight, the only 2d movie I tried.

Just got it, but had one that lasted a longtime, so we bought another when this one started acting up.

This player has been a blessing. It replaced our old VCR based system. We own hundreds of DVDs and CDs. and this player plays everything. Even our flash drives work with it.

Bought a new 55” 4K hdtv, and needed a new Blu-ray player to replace the old one I had for about 9 years. Works great!

Plays MP4 files and mkv. Doesn't work with Avi files. Plays out of region docs, it'll say it doesn't but if you press top menu they pop up. Takes a minute to load the player though.

I should have bought this model years ago. Salesman knew exactly what I wanted very knowledgeable.

Upgraded to have Amazon Prime video on both TV's. Problem with all Blu-ray players we have owned: eventually they freeze up and the only way to power off is to unplug them. They work great for awhile and then this problem starts occuring.

Works great - great value. The TV part of the remote only works with Sony TVs. It does not work with Samsung TVs.

I've been around a long time. My first VCR (a Beta!) was huge, heavy and cost $1000. Great to see the progress through the years. This Blue-Ray player is small, slick, inexpensive, and does more than I have been able to keep up with!

does what its supposed to do and it has the ability to stream netflix which is cool

I looked around before I got this Blu-ray player and while there are more expensive ones with more features, this is a good player for the price. It had more features then I needed and it does the job.

I have both this model and the one below it (BDP-S3700) the menus on this one are much faster probably due to the dual-core processor necessary for 4K up-scaling. Image is excellent, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I actually love it. It has access to Netflix and Amazon prime so I can watch it on my tv and I don’t have to watch it on my iPad anymore. So it’s great
