    Needed a DVD player that played Blu-Ray (I know, where late to the game, lol) This met our needs. and it also has some apps installed on it, but we haven't really tried those out yet.

    Haven't tested a 4K disc as I don't own one and the 4K upscale feature is a little difficult to judge as the bluray picture looks great but can't see the difference on our set. Was priced competitively on the floor at Best Buy.

    I think Sony is the best brand for electronics! Most of the electronics that we own are Sony and we will continue to buy Sony! Our last Blu-ray player was a Sony and it's 11 years old and still working!

    Overall, a very good product for the money. Works well with my Vizio M50-E1 display. One reason for purchasing is because it does Closed Captioning flawlessly..

    Love this model to be able to screen share on an older Sony TV from my android phone. I was raised with all Sony electronics products because of their quality.

    This DVD player can not only be used to play DVDs but also serve as a Android TV box for streaming videos such as Amazon Prime Videos. One limitation is that its Bluetooth seems not working out with my Samsung sound bar.

    The User Interface on all Sony Blu Ray players is still WAY better than the other brands. It's fast and versatile, allowing for tons of available apps including the big ones like Netflix and Hulu.

    Not super expensive and it shows in the overall quality and feel of the player, the remote, the user interface... BUT, it does what it's supposed to and at a reasonable price

    I’m so glad I purchased this DVD player! It has some awesome features! I love the apps that I can get so I don’t have to switch from my DVD player to the tv input. I have had no problems with it.

    Player is nice but already makes some scary upload noises. When the salesman gave us a HDMI cable for it, He should have given us one for 4K. Had to go to Walmart to purchase a 4K cable.

    So far this is a very nice DVD player - and has Netflix and all the other things on it we wanted. Loads pretty quickly and does what we need it to do! I never have any issues with Sony products!

    I have had problems in the past from DVD players not plating some files on a external hard drive off of my camcorder but this one plays it flawlessly and without degrading video quality of my home videos.
