Unit freezes while playing DVDs or Streaming

Doesn;t appear to be the case here. Out of the box, the unit would freeze. I updated the firmware and still did not fix the problem. Now I get to deal with the joys of Sony customer service- at first telling me the product was out of warranty because it had been released back in 2015/2016. Actually, I bought it Best Buy less than 5 months ago! Anyway, choose another player- don;t buy this one.

I constantly having difficulties turning the player on and recognizing disc in player. I’ve been a HUGE SONY fan for years and always had good luck. Very disappointed with this unit and regret not choosing the cheaper model offered.
