This Blue-Ray player is just ok. Looses connection without reason, takes time to connect, etc. I guess I got what I paid for. Cheap but mediocre. I should have paid a little more but got a decent player.

The player was very easy to install and streams movies like a charm. Have not had any problems with it and have used it with my cable in my home and satellite in the camper.

Regular DVDs seem to be going the way of VHS tapes. The hype is that blu-ray discs provide superior sound and picture. I bought my first ever blu-ray player and a few discs. I cannot tell the difference between the blu-rays and my regular DVDs.

I tried playing a 4k and it didnt work. Ummm... yea that is all ... sucks but whatever

Works very well oversea despite of voltage and frequency difference ! Very convenient if Netflix is required ! Good rapport quality definition and price Recommended .

Very simple plug and play Blu Ray player that allegedly plays dvds and cds too. First dvd I put in, it didnt read and said "no disc". Took it out and tried again with same outcome. I thought maybe it was the disc so I put in a brand new Blu Ray and had the same issue! Shut down power and restarted but it wouldn't read the disc. For a brand new item, this should be working well and reading any disc especially new ones. I didnt even try a cd because I knew I wasnt going to keep this $100 paperweight. Thankfully, Best Buy took it back very easily two days after my purchase and their customer service gets 5 stars.

Thought this was a great idea at the time. Used it seldomly over the first year and a half, but it quit working suddenly. Not that the device is inoperable in whole, but DVDs now play with no sound. The previews work just fine, but the movie itself has no audio whatsoever. Sadly, I could not find a solution to this. Maybe it just doesn't like my new TV.

For the price you’d think 4KUHD compatibility would be possible

Disappointed with this. Right out of the box had to keep rebooting to make the connection, Didn’t go through the aggravation of reboxing Shipping, waiting on hold. I don’t work for Sony.

Works great and easy to install, Sony makes a great product, highly recommended

When it works it’s ok, occasionally fails to turn on with remote and locks up on some apps. Considering returning it for exchange or refund

Its all there. The only thing missing is a small light letting you know its turned on.

I bought one in January and in beginning of July it would not open or turn off. We maybe used this player 3 times in the 6 months we had it. I was told by Best Buy they are throw away these days that unless you buy the warranty which means they would fix it, otherwise it would be a hassle you would have to go thru Sony and with Covid happening that right now is not happening. I was told I would be better off just buying another one...OH JOY!

My aunt needed a new DVD player and this was the best one for the price. Once she found out she can watch YouTube on this, that is mostly what she uses it for.

I have used this to play dvds. It works great - no skipping or distortion.

This item played some DVDs but NOT others.i would not buy again.

I bought it as an open box and the remote control was not included , I bought it just to give it a try with the Sony remote control app but it did not work, returned.

I have had this unit for just under 3 months and have had issues with it the whole time. Now, it has no video output at all. The internal processor seems to be under powered to handle switching to Netflix, Amazon or back to 4K video. Glitches and hangs between programs. Also, the streaming services are very limited and no way to add more (ie Prime Audio). Taking it back today. 3rd Sony in 6 months that I have had to return, done with this once great electronics company.

Samsung still brings all the high end quality with a reasonable price

Returning to best buy, no window on dvd, only a small light to show its on, hard to operate, problems turning off, did not work with my sony which I'am also returning.
