Only complaint is wish it would connect to TV wirelessly. It connects via WiFi to home network, but still have to run hdmi cord to tv.

Sony makes some nice product but unfortunately the blue Ray is too slow moving through channels.

The first time I bought this this item I havd to return it ,it was missing parts the second time I return it ,it didn’t work anymore that’s the sad part

This cannot play 4k (UHD) disks, so if you have a 4K TV, this disk player is next to useless. Yes, you can get 4K content on streaming services, but they cannot match the bit-rate of a 4K disk. To really see movies at their best on a decent TV, you want 4K UHD disks, which this player cannot handle.

Disappointed. Bluetooth on this player does not connect with other Bluetooth external speakers or devices such as Samsung, Sonos, and Bose even though advertised as bluetooth capable with external headsets / speakers. I've tested all of the above with other devices and each works fine except with the Sony player. Was hoping to use this player with external speakers for outdoor movies. Won't buy Sony external bluetooth speakers which per their specs are overpriced and underperform. Do not recommend this player.

This blu-Ray player at beginning is not bad, but after using it for a while it will freeze up sometime.

Remote partially does not work with this. Does not turn on the player. Player has all sorts of technical glitches like telling me it is not connected to the internet when I have it hard wired . I also do not see an improved picture. Ugh

Needed to read more up to date reviews ones after Sony pulled a bunch of streaming options from the device.

I bought it twice and returned it twice because it seemed too cheap with fewer good qualities. I finally bought a more expensive 4k Sony Blu-ray player with a very strong and sturdy structure. At first I thought it could be a test and if not so great then I would go higher end. But I just jumped to a higher end, but not those extravagantly expensive Blu-ray players.

Not very happy. Even at the discounted price, I’m feeling I paid too much. BB people assured me on several occasions this came with the D+ app. Not there and not capable of adding it, either. Unit sometime won’t even connect to WiFi. Just a lot more limited than even this price justifies.

Not bad = love Sony! Easy to install and operate!!

This is what the description for the product says: 4K UHD Blu-ray Player, DVD Player, CD Player When I received this and read the side of the box, I realized that the description was absolutely wrong. If you're expecting a 4K Blu-ray player, do not buy this.

Blue ray quality is good. Misleading description on the unit and for the Best Buy staff that indicated to me it was 4K compatible. It does NOT play 4K discs. Stuck with another Blue Ray player that I didn’t need

I bought this player for Black Friday for a 6yr+ Sony Blu-ray player I had that broke down. First night it worked great. Second time trying to use it only a few days later and it kept erroring out when trying to play discs, saying “no hdmi found”. It doesn’t matter how much I turned it on and off, restarted it, or changing out the hdmi cord with a brand new one...it just drops connection every time. It’s a faulty, cruddy system and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The advocate that helped me in the audio dept. was clueless to the products on the shelf for sale and kept pushing me into buying something I did not want however, the gal at checkout was very knowledgeable and realized I needed a cable for the item I purchased that the guy in audio didn't even mention. Thank goodness for the checker.

Works just fine. Does have a cheap feel to it. Wish it didn't rely on the remote for most playback operations playing dics.

It is a working normal Blu-ray with "4k" it's NOT really 4K it's just trying to stretch the 1080P to the 4k. If you need an ACTUAL 4Kplayer... This is NOT it.

I just needed something because my Samsung Blu-ray stopped working. This one if fine until I can get a better one.

Sure, it works fine when it works. In 8months it started skipping with EVERY disc. Cleaning didnt work. Had I not purchsed with the credit card and got the 2 year protection plan, I would have been screwed. Then Best Buy tried to say theyd send it out for repair…uhhh no. Thankfully they made it right and I just upgraded.

I like this player except for one thing. After watching a blu ray dvd with no problems, the next time I wanted to use it, it wouldn't connect to my tv until I unplugged it and then re-plugged it. Then it worked fine again. If your outlet is inaccessible, this could be an issue. Since mine is reachable, I am keeping the player. I like that it easily connected to YouTube and I watched some videos - very happy with that.
