Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always try to purchase Sony products first, but when it comes to a DVD player an absolute requirement is to have picture zoom capability so I can get rid of the pesky black bars at top and bottom of the screen, even if I lose a little bit of the content. This Sony, like some others brands I tried have removed that function, if they ever had it. As a result I took it right back to the store.

Junk! Cheaply Built

In addition, the power switch does not work. Unit is always on, can not turn it off, have to pull power chord in rear to turn off. Unit is only several months beyond its warranty date. There is no disk in the disk drawer to cause it to open. \

Decent 4K Upscaling Player

This player gives details in Blue ray movies better then my other 1080p Blue Ray HD player. The up scaling works great, amazing picture. I was impressed as I bought this on the cheap, a re-furb, with $11.99 Geek plan. Why the plan, several players I owned over the years would die as soon as warranty is out. Not all but a few.

Come on, I paid more for this because of all the features, but I did not expect to find I needed to go out and get the most necessary component to be able to use it. Very dissapointed.

They were not able to fix it, this is a second replacement. The DVD's freeze and the apps do the same. It has reset back a couple of times so we had re installed our movie apps. I do not recommend it at all.
