Sales person could not tell me if I could get Charter Spectrum. We thought it would since it was WiFi. So I wasted time by bringing it home and it would not connect to Charter Spectrum

This could be purchased on sale easily, and I like the streaming options (Vudu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, even PlayStation Video!) and the Russian Chanel app is a plus for our household. Plays DVD’s in great quality.

This player is our 3rd unit in 2 years. They work great for several months, then just freeze up, and none of the buttons on the remote work. Sometimes, unplugging it for a few minutes "re-sets" it, and it will work for a couple more weeks.

The TV that I purchased has very, POOR AUDIO--particularly when s's are used in a broadcast. On WETA (Public Television) the sound is especially difficult to understand when conversation is going on.Going "up" in volume only heightens the issue.

Bought for myself earlier this year and I guess good review since I am now buying for my son for Christmas. Hush! Don’t tell him.

This is the third Sony blu ray player I have had to purchase in the last three years. They keep failing. I would not keep purchasing Sony except that are pre programmed into my Control4 smart home system

Very slow to work..had to get a fire stick for streaming..just use it for dvds

I owned this for a year and a half had issues now I’m replacing it won’t turn on unless I unplug power and reboot discs freeze up I recommend buying Geek Squad warranty if you buy this one I have my first Sony blu ray player that could be almost ten years it still works great

I should have read the description more closely, but this product is misleading. It does NOT play 4K dvds, so I will be returning it and purchasing an actual 4K bluray DVD player.

The DVD Player did well while it ran, but died after less than 2.5 years. Now it wakes up but won't play any of the disks it did before, giving an unrecognized disk error.

Great picture when working occasionally the streaming will freeze and I will have to reset it by shutting everything down DISAPPOINTED in this product.

Overpriced for not providing true 4k. These should really only be 50$.

I have bought 3 of this model and the new one Bluray Dvd and all of them had problems in it The sound keeps dropping out on all of my movies.Its is 2 weeks old and it started about 10 days after I bought it and best buy will not fix the problem so I have to box it up and send it back to Sony, I will not buy another Sony, After three you would thing i would get one that works

Garbage! Went to watch a disc and find it dead. Only shows a blue ray logo. Won't open tray. Green power button is on and it's impossible to turn off. None of the Sony troubleshooting steps work because they assume that the remote works and there is a home screen to navigate. NOTHING. Total junk product. No way to reset it. No way to even open the tray to see if something is in there.

Completely incorrect description by Best Buy listing the player specifications as a 4K UHD blueray, when, in fact, it DOES NOT play 4K disks. It is merely a standard bluray player. Forced me to waste time taking this back.

had to use a different blu ray player that allowed me to watch my movies on my external usb hard drive.....this unit kept freezing up

If you want to play Blu-ray, don't buy this. It plays DVD but would not even read any other disc. Took it right back to the store.

I don't understand why it says 4k player when it doesn't play/read a 4k disc. I consider this a waste of money and time. Cause the store didn't even have this player in stock when the website said yes

Horrible! Constantly disconnects from wifi, always has issues... Terrible product. We got this for our kids TV during the pandemic, to try to alleviate the fighting over which shows to watch. We are now shopping to replace it, less than a year later, just out of sheer frustration with connection issues. Seriously, find a better product, this one's utter crap.
