Great Blu Ray Player without breaking the bank! I bought this Open Box - Excellent. It came in great condition and has played a few movies just great. The remote is easy to use, picture looks great. Glad I bought it!

This unit gives remarkable performance at a very low price. The video upscaling feature works well, and adds clarity and detail, especially when playing a Blu-ray Disc. The audio performance is even more remarkable, bringing out musical details that I have never heard before. It is small, so that it can fit in almost anywhere. Build quality is somewhat flimsy, but that shouldn’t matter during normal use.

Absolutely love my new Sony Blu-Ray player. In addition to playing DVD's, I can now show pictures and movies off of a USB stick or watch a ton of stuff on YouTube, as well as watch my Netflix and Tubi movies. I highly recommend this marvel.

This is a very easy to operate DVD player. It's easy to set up and all one has to o is pop in a DVD and hit the Play arrow on the remote control and you're in business.

Works great and synched with my smart tv without me having to do anything. Quality picture even for dvds that are not blu ray! Would recommend!!

IDK how it fairs in comparison with past Blu-ray players, now it seems that the whole focus is on making sure they work just long enough so that they outlast their warranty's by a little bit. After that is the real test. I'm glossing over features as those have been about as advanced as their gonna get for a good while. Instead it's now more of a matter of if it'll last long enough to truly be worth it or if it'll leave you feeling cheated. LG, Panasonic & Sony are now the top choices since Samsung seems to have vanished from making video players. Avoid Philip's like the plague. They used to be decent, now their another formerly great brand. Still, this is a solid choice for most that'll most likely be around more than long enough to justify it's cost. Which is about as much as you can realistically hope for.

Bought this DVD player and is very compact and works just fine for my needs of watching movies. I am not into all the fancy stuff this player may or may not have. It was easy to hook up , and found it easy to use!

Very functional, and at a reasonable price. It's nice having a unit that won't cost a fortune if it ever needs to be replaced.

I have owned the unit for about 3 weeks. Waited too long and can not return. I have spent 2 days emails back and forth to Sony support. Issues are several of the apps will not load. Sony Essentials site only lists 5 of 35 available. Sony told me to use that site to link apps? that do not show on the site (they do show on the device, just come back with error.) So Sony's site is bad, the unit is bad and no help. The support replies were evasive and like trying to talk to a very immature child. No knowledge was obvious. I bought this unit because I own two other Sony Blue Ray older models which Discontinued You Tube accessibility. NOW Note this new one comes with Playstation app but Sony is scheduled to DISCONTINUE that one per Sony site. So let see, Over Boast Features, sell items with features that Do Not Work or Discontinue Features and offer No Support or answers. And have a site to manage the devices ( Sony Essentials) that is extremely flawed which was seemingly admited by support (not sure do to the evasive hard to follow vague answers). Further the box claimed some stupid number of 300 + apps available. It has maybe 25% of the claimed number. Insane and I am now out $120 for another sorry excuse of a product and company. I hope I Iearned this time to never bUy Sony again. Note no offer was ever given to pursue warranty or a fix. Just an apology from support that no ETA exists but maybe someday a software update might fix. Really? I want mention Best Buy simply sold me the product and are not at fault. Return policy should be more than 15 days. It was two weeks before I realized my error in purchasing this unit and now I must try to resolve with uncooperative Sony. I will not resolve. I will take my loss and never buy Sony again as I am not going to pay to send it to who knows where to likely not be fixed.

This 4k upscaling blu-ray player works great, just as intended.

DVD player works great. Picture quality is crisp and clear. Non-blue ray discs look almost as good as blue ray. Very happy with the purchase.

This upscales regular blu-rays to 4K, but it does not play UHD 4K disks. Most 4K TVs upscale already, so to me it seems like a glorified streaming blu ray player with some neat features.
