    Forgets passwords.

    Mine forgets all the passwords for internet and apps just about daily. Sometimes it will freeze up multiple times per day and the password need to be reentered, which is a huge hassle. Everything would be great without this problem. I wonder if there's an internal battery that could be swapped? Anyhow, it started doing this within weeks, and gradually got worse. Now it's to the point where it needs to be programmed every time you turn it on, and then you try to switch apps and it forgets all the passwords.

    Bad, very bad product

    Sony used to be a great brand. In my opinion it is no longer a reliable brand. This unit locks up frequently. The last straw was it locked up my internet connection. It took several hours to figure out it wasn't the modem or the router. As soon as I disconnected the Sony player my internet came back on. I never would have thought that a blue ray player could lock up reception. It was almost by accident and a last gasp attempted before returning the router. Very disappointed.

    Main objection is player will lock up and must be hard reset too often. On the other hand I’ve used this thing incessantly for two years and it still plays. Kind of cheap build quality, no redundant controls on unit, must have remote to use. Lightweight, feels flimsy.

    Delivery service never delivered it.

    I just re-ordered this DVD player. The delivery person never delivered. They said they sent it back. No record of return. I’m now ordering and will pick it up!!

    Can't even get the setup screen to show

    This weekend with 5 degree temps my 3 yr old LG blueray player died,so I bundled up went and got a new one ,this Sony. Hook it up as per instructions turn it on and get a blank screen saying "Invalid Format" call Geek Squad they have no idea tell me to bring it back.So uninstal go back get another one come home install and same message. I'll be returning this one today and buying something NOT SONY that's for sure!

    Worked for a year, now just dead

    Worked for a year. Then all of a sudden today... discs just freeze about 1 minute in. Tried with several different movies... same result. Had to unplug just to get it out of the freeze. Did an "update" ... nothing. This is SONY... what happened?!?! Come to find out from reviews at a competing site that this particular unit has this constant problem of dying months or a year into use.

    Lasted 3 months

    We bought this dvd player because it got so many great reviews. Sadly, it lasted 3.5 months. Of course, Best Buy won't take it back and told us we have to contact Sony. What a hassle!! Not sure if I'll make the effort, but I'm SO disappointed in this short lived piece of electronic junk.

    This player was nice for about 4 months, then it begins randomly factory resetting itself when you turn it on. It was bad enough that Sony sunsets half the apps. Hulu, even their own Crackle doesn't work on this, but this was the final straw. No more Sony for me

    Shuts off during blu-ray playback

    I thought I was getting an upgrade from previous blu-ray player. This is my second unit in two days. Both units shut off after about 15 minutes of play back while watching a blu-ray movie. My old Phillips BD never had this problem.

    Flawed product

    I experienced the same problems others had with this player. It would not turn on either with the remote or manually. I had to unplug it then plug it back in to get it to work. And each time I turned it on I had to go through the set-up protocol to get streaming.

    Sony S6700 Blu Ray Player

    I have send four of these back to Sony, all of a sudden the picture goes black. Have to unplug the unit to reset it. Sony has bought back the last unit they sent me.

    I just bought this blue ray player about 2 hours ago, hooked it up and will not turn on. I've tried different outlets and TV's and still nothing. It will be returned tomorrow!

    Worked for a month

    Stuck in a loop and won’t recognize the internet connection. Others have same problem. Last Sony lasted 8 years. Very disappointing and taking back to store.

    Maybe my box was just a dud? Tried to use wall and surge protector outlets, also remote and box button for power. Would not turn on. Returning for another brand.

    Garbage

    Does not platy anything but Netflix. Every other platform constantly crashes. Also need to re-connect to the internet every time you turn it on.

    STOPPED PLAYING DISCS AFTER ONE MONTH

    Do not buy this player. After just one month it stopped recognizing any disc I placed in. I tried to reboot, everything, but it will not recognize it even has a disc loaded.
