Great product, easy setup, makes my James Bond Collection look FABULOUS, even the original Dr. No. Only problem I had was it did not work with a very old HDMI cable I had, once I swapped that out it was perfect.

Feels cheap. Materials are so light and flimsy feeling now days. I love the interface and it has all the features I was looking for in HDR and 4k. Froze a few times, had to remove the power cable to get it to respond.

Replaced a Samsung Blu-ray player. Samsung seems to have given up on keeping the streaming apps working. We would have regular drop outs and freezing up. I had our 100 Mb internet service checked to make sure that was not the problem. Decided to go with this Sony player. Has worked perfectly since we hooked it up. Picture and sound quality on Blu-ray DVD's is excellent.

What can I say, another fine product from Sony. It does what it's supposed to and does it very well. Just keep in mind that this is a product in the $100 or less category so when comparing products make sure to compare oranges to oranges. There are products out there that cost 5 times more and receive rave reviews from audio and videophiles and deservingly so, but for the price of this product it holds its own very well.

The internet features worked well and it has a fast start feature so you don't have to wait long to start. No problems playing the Blu-rays and DVDs and the up-scaling and sound works good. I did get a few pauses from reading some DVD+R discs that I had. But overall it works well. Note that this player does not play 4K Blu-ray disks, but up-scales to 4K when available. As I do not have a 4K TV yet, it didn't matter to me.

I read some bad reviews on the streaming, but all the other blue ray players had some bad reviews, so I decided to try it anyway. I have very fast wifi and have not had a problem with streaming at all, the picture is clear, remote works fine, buttons are not that small, it has a big button for Netflix and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth feature was not mention in the reviews I read, but it makes it easy to hear in a noisy environment

I recently purchased this player for my bedroom. This player was an upgrade to the Sony player I bought for my living room a couple of weeks ago. With the price match, it was only $20 more than the one I bought earlier. This player has a lot of features that I will never use, but the price was good. I had purchased a cheaper Sony player earlier and it was dead right out of the box.

I actually bought this item and the model below it. Both Sony products are very good, connection with Internet was fast and quick. I do a lot of streaming in my motorhome and both units work perfectly

I bought this based on Sony's solid reputation. While the primary functions as a Blu-ray player are fine, the unit is noticeably slow. The menu system is painfully slow. As a streaming device, the unit again is slow. Menus are slow and clumsy. The initialization of any streaming content is slow, choppy, and full of digital artifact and downscaling The included remote is also too small. Even with a 80- 100mbs 5ghz connection. I'd say this a decent enough device for the kids to keep themselves entertained, but I wouldn't recommend it as part of a family entertainment center.

Simple to set up - Plug and Play. Great resolution!

Easier to set up and use than my old Samsung. Connection to Wi-Fi was quick and easy.

Sometimes you just want to throw a movie in. Instead of streaming we also added some physical movies to our collection. This has WiFi built in which is what we wanted.

Just needed an inexpensive blue ray player for Netflix DVDs. This one does an adequate job. Only issue is the power connection on the back. Need to routinely unplug it and plug power cable back in as there must be a poor connection. Hopefully I don’t lose the power connection all together down the road.

Small, compact size is great. The Blu Ray and DVD functions seem to work well. I have yet to figure out how to stream and use other functions: perhaps the instructions could be a bit clearer.

A simple to use, affordable streaming Blu Ray player. Also plays my DVD's VCD's, CD's and can display USB photos! Netflix and Amazon pre loaded is a plus. Great quality video. Use it with a Sony receiver and get remote control over them both.

Mom wanted a 4k bluray player, this does not play bluray. We did watch YouTube videos before returning it. Controlling unit was easy and picture was very clear. It's good for what it does, but returned it because we needed a 4K UHD player.
