I recently purchased this player for my bedroom. This player was an upgrade to the Sony player I bought for my living room a couple of weeks ago. With the price match, it was only $20 more than the one I bought earlier. This player has a lot of features that I will never use, but the price was good. I had purchased a cheaper Sony player earlier and it was dead right out of the box.

The internet features worked well and it has a fast start feature so you don't have to wait long to start. No problems playing the Blu-rays and DVDs and the up-scaling and sound works good. I did get a few pauses from reading some DVD+R discs that I had. But overall it works well. Note that this player does not play 4K Blu-ray disks, but up-scales to 4K when available. As I do not have a 4K TV yet, it didn't matter to me.

Great system for my teen. He wanted a system for his cd’s and dvds but also to stream shows. It’s a nice system for him and has everything he needs. Setup was very easy.

A simple to use, affordable streaming Blu Ray player. Also plays my DVD's VCD's, CD's and can display USB photos! Netflix and Amazon pre loaded is a plus. Great quality video. Use it with a Sony receiver and get remote control over them both.

I read some bad reviews on the streaming, but all the other blue ray players had some bad reviews, so I decided to try it anyway. I have very fast wifi and have not had a problem with streaming at all, the picture is clear, remote works fine, buttons are not that small, it has a big button for Netflix and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth feature was not mention in the reviews I read, but it makes it easy to hear in a noisy environment

Regarding the Sony BDP-S6700: I did not have another device with a digital coaxial input. I tried a (cheaper) digital coaxial to RCA connector adaptor but the sound was like a motor boat. I decided to use the bluetooth option for audio. In order to do so I had to download the Bluetooth Audio Receiver app from Microsoft onto my Windows 10 computer. I had to use the player setup menu to select the windows 10 computer to pair. And select the player in the app and connect. I occasionally get a popping in the audio but I am not sure if it is coming from the player, or some interference from some other electronics. Enjoying 3D movies

Easier to set up and use than my old Samsung. Connection to Wi-Fi was quick and easy.

Got everything I need: compact size, supporting BluRay and build-in Bluetooth. I hope the user interface can be a little bit smoother; there is noticeable latency.

It is very small so it fits nicely in my cabinet. Picture is good on BlueRay and 4K TV

This is the upscaling Blu-ray player you were looking for, lol. If you are like me, I already own blu rays and wasn't about to buy a bunch of 4k movies. I bought this one, because it upscales the picture quality. Ran a 4k ready HDMI cable and the picture quality of a regular blu ray on a 4k tv is amazing! Trust me on this one!
