If you are like me, I already own blu rays and wasn't about to buy a bunch of 4k movies. I bought this one, because it upscales the picture quality. Ran a 4k ready HDMI cable and the picture quality of a regular blu ray on a 4k tv is amazing! Trust me on this one!

Bought both as Sony's hoping they would play well together. lots of features and good sound stage expansion when paired with wireless rear speakers (the rears themselves emit little sound). However, the sound bar quickly and repeatedly looses sync with the TV!!! I have spent hours working on this and it will now work until I change input devices. Frustrating, as I thought I was upgrading and simplifying from my audio component days.
