The Sony blu ray player has worked great! We wanted one that could play 4k without breaking the bank and now we have one.

I love it! I don't have a smart TV (yet) and this fills the void perfectly. I actually thought it was a 4k disc player but it isn't. That was my fault because I misread the description. It plays my DVDs and blu-rays great. Overall, no complaints.

I have been using the player for over a month now. The picture quality is excellent. The only problems I have with the unit is slow boot time (I'm using the current update) and a slight but noticeable hum when playing a disk.

My old blu ray was large and slow loading, so was looking for something compact and faster. Thus far this is perfect, with black TV and stand you don’t even notice that it is there. The app feature was unexpectedly nice as well, if I wasn’t already hooked on Fire TV this would easily work from my streaming needs.

Meanwhile, the rear of the BDP-S6700 features a HDMI output, a coaxial digital output, and a wired Ethernet LAN slot, though there's also a WiFi module on-board (which even offers dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections). On the front you'll find a single USB slot for playing video, music and photo files from a thumb-drive.

Good DVD player, especially for the price. Not high end with tons of addition stuff but great for DVD's.

I've never owned a 4K player but this is as close as it gets without having to fork over several hundred dollars. The picture quality is better than a standard blue ray player. It helps me take advantage of my new 4K Television and its high picture quality.

This unit installs easily and works great. My former Blu-ray player just quit reading discs so I had to get a replacement. This one was a simple buy at a good price.

I don't watch or listen to a lot of disk-based content anymore, so I needed something for just those few needs. This does a great job of meeting those needs. Plenty of features, small size fits well into my available space. Satisfied with this choice.

Great disc player and the USB port on the front is an ideal way to use a thumb drive with old home movies. The video engine for the disc is good and for the usb is fantastic. Super easy to use, great preloaded apps for Netflix and Prime and others.

Nice looking and small footprint. I bought this unit to play some Blu-ray discs that were gifted to us, and it worked fine for that purpose. However, I tried playing some older dvd-rom discs which I had made several years ago, and it was unable to read those.

This thing just works. I actually bought it twice. I gave the first one away when I bought a Panasonic DP-UB820-K 4K player. That player developed playback issues outside the Best Buy return policy on some media that the Sony BDP-S6700 has no issues with. The one thing the S6700 doesn't do is play 4K UHD discs, but it up-scales 2K discs pretty well. Until the Panasonic dies, I'll use the Sony for every but the 4K discs.
