The higher price than some tvs delivers a better product. Better picture, better sound. We use antenna and streaming; no cable or dish bill. This gave us several more channels than our previous Sony 4k tv, also a great tv but 3 years old. It got moved to another room.

Easy setup performs exactly as I hoped. This gets all the streaming apps that I wanted as well as the upscaling DVD performance. I you want more streaming apps you may want to consider the next model up.

Very good picture; easy to use controller. I'm very satisfied. But I was pleased with the extras: Netflix built in, plus bluetooth to broadcast to devices. Good deal for the price.

Bought as a replacement DVD player. The picture is amazing! It makes our older TV look so much better than the picture from the cable box . DVD’s, You Tube, Amazon Prime all look so much better. A definite buy. We can plan to purchase a second unit soon for our other TV.

Bought on sale and to ensure my home system isn't out of date too soon. It's easy to use and integrated seamlessly with my Onkyo entertainment receiver. Overall, could not be happier.

It is what I had been looking for, easy to connect, easy to use and I can play Blue rays and 4k movies.

This product is good quality as is most Sony products. However we wanted a unit to play 4K DVD'S which this doesn't. It does play regular and HD Blue ray DVD'S so we're okay with that. We did ask a store associate about all that and they really couldn't answer our questions.

I bought this player because I wanted to look at disks I had and access Netflix, Hulu, etc. over the Internet on a HD TV without internet access. It was simple to connect to my network and to set up. The hardest part is deciding what to watch - there are so many services available. I love it.

I bought this for someone as a gift, and they total love this blu ray player. I have bought a few sony blu ray players in the past and they all played very well and lasted for many years.

The blue ray player works great. I am 66 and set up was really easy. My tv is a vizeo and the sony player works well with it. I watch amazon and netflicks through this machine also with no problems. Packed my Roku away. If you are a older person this blue ray player is good. Updates itself through the internet.

Does what I ask it to. Does what I expect. I mean it's a Blu-ray player that upscales. Doesn't do the ultra hd Blu-ray but that's ok

Needed to replace an aging DVD player. This was inexpensive but plays movies wonderfully. Upscaling works very well. Doesn’t have a front panel to tell you info, but for the price, it’s fine. Remote works well. Also plays music cds well.

Bought this online, delivered for pairing with large-screen tv. Neither component came with HDMI connector cable, so be prepared to buy one separately. Easy to install, plug-and-play ready with standard Sony remote control. Plays Blu-ray and and standard dvds.

This day and age with all streaming devices, I am mainly judging from the point of view: Does this player play region free blu-ray 3ds and the like...YES. I have a frickin huge collection of 3D and mainly use that so I can't be a 4K reviewer for you but for 3D it does the job great. I use a recommended 3D cable and have not had any issues with my 3D's like I did with my old Sony player from yeaaaaars ago. I also like the much smaller and lighter form factor as it fits easy in my limited entertainment cabinet and easy to pull out and connect cabling if needed. Easy setup and can be directly or wirelessy connected as expected these days. I use my other streaming devices as no player has ever had great apps for netflix and is as easy as applytv, firestick, ... Get and have no worries from non 4K review purposes. 3D 2d good, so I have high confidence 4K would be just as great, but see other reviews for that confirmation.

This Sony is so much more reliable and easy to follow prompts than the previous DVD player I had(LG). Very happy with this product.

Works really well. Nice compact size fits almost anywhere. DVD's look crystal clear.

The Blu-ray player is great, but it didn't come with any cords. Perhaps it mentioned that in the description and I missed it, but I was surprised it didn't have a cord.
