However the Sony was on sale for the same price so we decided to try it. If you use Hulu or apps of some sort this is by far the easiest for the that. There is a ton of apps already downloaded and the speed in which to access them is immediate. I would not recommend the Magnavox if you require apps. In regards to the BluRay I think most are the same? I have noticed a significant difference?

It has internet connectivity so we can stream Netflix, Hulu, and whatever else there is an app for. Oh, and it plays Blu-rays as well. We've had it for a few months now and have no problems to report.

Cons: -seems to take quite a while to load up sometimes (I selected the option for it to use a bit more power in order to load faster to), has to almost require wifi content for Netflix each time we turn it on. It seemed like our old ROKU loaded much quicker. Overall: Any issues are worth dealing with, it's a great piece of equipment, small and efficient and its a great step into blueray
