Great Blu-Ray Player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this device. I purchased Panasonic, Samsung players and returned as they did not meet my expectations. This player is flawless for the price and compare to its competitors around same price range. Wifi works flawlessly and streaming contents are very responsive. Sony makes best Bly Ray and this is no different.

Sony - BDPS3500 Good Blu ray player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this compact Sony Blu ray layer for my mother-in-law. she needed a small compact unit that was wifi capable and had the apps (Netflix, Hulu+) that she used to watch her favorite shows. this little unit "fit the biill"! easy set-up, great picture on blu ray disks. Thanks Sony for earning me "brownie points" with my mother-in-law!

Great For Streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old Sony DVD player and I used my Sony PlayStation 3 for playing Blue Ray DVDs. The TV in the bedroom had a Blue Ray DVD player and it had streaming apps on it. Once I enrolled in Netflix and Amazon I got hooked on streaming older TV shows, so I had to get a more up to date DVD player for the living room - one with streaming video apps that also played Blue Ray DVDs. It works great! I do have one thought for improvement. The PlayStation has the ability to connect an optional keyboard. It would be a lot easier when using the internet app if this player had a the ability to attach the PlayStation keyboard. It is fairly difficult to use the remote to enter data. So back to the review. It is a fabulous DVD player and has every feature that a person can use, and the price was fantastic!

Q: QuestionIf your TV isn't WiFi enabled can this Blu-Ray player still be used to full functionality with just connecting it to the TV via a HDMI cord ?So I can mirror my laptop on the TV, use YouTube and other apps, play PS3 games and use all other functions, despite of connecting the TV and Blu-Ray player via a HDMI Cord ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Your TV not having WIFI has nothing to do with any device connected to it. Connect any device to the TV and play. The only issue would be how many HDMI ports your TV has. If you don't have enough ports, some devices will need to be unplugged so you can use others.

Q: QuestionWhats the longest distance from the router that this product will operate properly. How far can the blue ray player be from the router (in another room) until it wont properly access netflix or any of the other applications?
Asked by DP.
- A:Answer Hi DP, It depends on the router's capability. If there are any type of metallic objects (such as a metal desk, file cabinet, etc.), walls or if the router is on the floor, all of these could lead to poor wireless network performance near your server, component devices or wireless LAN router/access point. The farther away the router is from these objects, the stronger your connection will be. - Jerome

Q: QuestionDoes SmartTV mean you don't need a WiFi DVD player?I have a Samsung Smart TV. Does that mean I should just get a regular Blue Ray player instead of a wifi Blue Ray player? I'm thinking Wifi TV plus Wifi DVD player is redundant?
Asked by Anon.
- A:Answer Hello Anon, thank you for your message. No, it does not mean Smart for having WiFi Capabilities. It allows you to have a variety of applications that you can stream with internet connection. However, the Blu-ray player can play either Blu-rays or DVDs without internet connection.
