Was easy to set-up. Only surprise was during set-up it immediately wanted to download updates. It worked seamlessly but someone who doesn't understand this process it may be a bit confusing. Works well with the ads ads I get from local library. In future I will set up and begin using streaming capabilities. A definite but.

Every time one of my kids gets his own apartment I give him my old Sony DVD player.Then I march right off to Best Buy and get a new one. I've always liked Sony products and this one works well. Having the built-in wifi is a plus. This machine does exactly what it's designed to do and I expect it to last me a long time.

This blue ray player is my first .... and the best part are all the apps and ways I can watch TV! So excited to be able to use one device to watch my netflix movies, internet, youtube ... and all my other fun stuff that I have stored through this device.

Not too many people rent DVDs anymore or Blu-ray's, but utilize all the applications they can be run from the Internet for streaming. this box allows you to do both. In our case it works really well and simple for all my family members to access the various applications they want and for the occasional Redbox rental

Excellent player for the price! Streaming movies from Netflix is super easy.

I never knew what I was missing. Lightning struck my STANDARD TV recently and I had to shop for an HD TV and BLUE_RAY PLAYER. I didn't know what I needed to look for with these items, but with the help of the salesman at BEST BUY Iwas looking at these items in a whole knew way. Movies in HD AND BLUE-RAY are BEAUTIFUL!

Two buttons, eject and power, are the only ones on this unit. No front display aside from a power-on LED. Streaming interface is clean and easy to navigate. Plays video files as specified from non-Sony USB RAM drive. Did not try video game interface. Wi-Fi reception is good thru 2 walls from 2nd floor of house.

Wish it would connect to my old TV. This unit does much more than I expected it to do, it is several years newer than my other blue ray player. I bought this unit partly because it had a Wi-Fi connection for Netflix. My older Sony Trinitron doesn't have an HDMI connection, so I could only use it on my newer TV.

Several store sales associates recommended this Blu Ray Player, and since we did not know one from the other, we bought it. It works fine. We have yet to play a Blu Ray disc on it, but the regular discs work fine. We would like to get a player that plays more discs for CD's, but apparently they do not make them.

Quiet. Awesome pictures. Easy to setup. Love that it plays PS3 games.

This compact Blu-ray player is a big improvement over my over-sized Samsung (now headed for electronics recycling). Sony makes it easy to fast-forward through DVDs and Blu-ray programs, especially those annoying trailers that precede some movies. The price is outstanding, too. An all-around winner in my book.

Bought this version of a Blu-Ray player to replace an old "wired" version we had. WiFi was easy to set up and liked the availability to add all of the additional apps on our main splash screen. Especially liked the "fast start" option which turns it on almost immediately instead of having to wait for it to boot up.

This unit is surprisingly small, but filled with all the features necessary. It connects with virtually all streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime with the internal WiFi. It loads discs quite fast with excellent quality picture and sound.

I have not been able to use this device properly. I had to purchase additional HDMI cables and a HDMI splitter to accommodate my older television and my dvr player. I still can't operate the device. But when I disconnect the HDMI cable from the DVR player and connect the cable directly from the blu-ray to the television, I'm golden and the player is incredible.

This is what I was looking for. Something small and reasonably priced.

I needed a basic Blu-Ray player for my bedroom when we rent Redbox movies. This player works well, and has streaming built in. It even will work as a Playstation streaming device if you add a PS3 controller (although I haven't used this functionality). I only took off a star because I think that these Blu-Ray players still cost too much for what they are / do.

This is a great BluRay Player for the money. I have four Sony BluRay players and am completely satisfied with each one of them. These players complement four Sony High Definition Tvs which I have, all of which I am completely satisfied with.
